Funeral Director and Celebrant. We work in partnership with Picaluna Beautiful Funerals. We provide services all across Sydney.

Picaluna is a
community of like minded people, helping families to create more authentic,
compassionate and affordable cremations, burials and memorials. Picaluna felt that there was a much better way to conduct funerals, and are
changing the way funerals are done for the better. This change is underpinned
by their core purpose to help communities to honour, mourn, celebrate, heal
and rejuvenate. Picaluna also chooses to donate 5% of their Service Fee to a
charity of the family’s choice. The Picaluna partnership supports us in the logistics required to arrange and
conduct a funeral; including transfers, registering the death with Births, Deaths
& Marriages, access to a vast range of suppliers, mortuary care, and invoicing. This allows us to spend more time with you, crafting and delivering a
personalised ceremony, authentic to the one you loved. At Pittwater Funerals, we will support you and your family every step of the way through the funeral process. Our focus is to ensure that your loved one is given a beautiful and unique farewell - customised to reflect their own personal style.

Today, Friday 8th August is Dying to Know Day. The mission of Dying to Know Day is to spark honest, empowering conversations about end-of-life planning. This national campaign encourages all Australians to approach the inevitable not with fear, but with purpose and with love. I am posting this as a reminder of what I do....for the past 4 years I have been working as an independent funeral director and funeral celebrant. I support people during what is often the most difficult time in their lives. I consider what I do an honour and privilege. I am here to answer any questions you may have, to gently guide and support you. 🌸

Golden wattle was chosen for a woman who loved the Australian bush. She spent a lot of time enjoying nature, bush walking, camping, and at the beach. Her family shared an amazing collection of photos to illustrate her eulogy. It was beautiful to see her journey through her long life.

This week I supported a small group of mourners to say goodbye to someone who lived life his own way. He will be remembered for his unique spirit and his wonderful musical talent. His ceremony was filled with music from artists that he admired and loving tributes from his family. May he rest in peace.

Many of the funerals we organise are for members of Pacific Island communities. In recognition of this connection we provide support to . Sione and his team of volunteers do amazing work in Tonga. The vision of Sione’s Foundation is to help people in Tonga, and across the Pacific, with a key focus on children who are disadvantaged, marginalised or isolated. The Foundation’s work aims to give each child freedom and ability to choose their career and life goals, regardless of their individual financial situation. Our recent support was a donation of brand new pairs of shoes to be distributed during their next trip to Tonga. Thank you to Sione for the great work he does.

I was honoured to be the celebrant for a ceremony last week for a loving husband, father and grandfather. His life story was full of travel and adventures across the globe and driving trips around Australia. His family shared with me "Although it was very sad for us to say goodbye, your ceremony was all we could have hoped for." I appreciate their lovely feedback. Thank you to for the beautiful flowers.

Last week we honoured and remembered the life of an adored mother, who had a large family. Her coffin was lovingly carried by her grandsons to her resting place. She was remembered with prayers, heartfelt tributes, and cultural traditions. May she rest in peace.

Today we had a beautiful sunny day for a burial at Waverley Cemetery. We said goodbye with a personalised graveside service with bright coloured flowers, singing, and her grandson played a few of her favourite songs on the guitar. A really special ceremony held in this coastal location.

I am posting this beautiful sunset in honour of the three families I have worked with over the past fortnight who have said goodbye to their little ones too soon. It has been an honour to support the families at this heartbreaking time. Although they were only with us for a short time, they will not be forgotten.

These bright and colourful flowers were chosen to be placed in the water to say goodbye to a man who loved the outdoors. As part of the ceremony I invited mourners to select a flower and place them in the water and say farewell. It was a beautiful, sunny day and mourners found peace watching their flowers floating on the water.
