About Me

Hello and a warm welcome to the Mind Body Philosophy page!

​My name is Kate and I am the overly proud mother of two beautiful rainbow children (Mia & Lilly), with a son on the way. I’m also wife to fun loving hubby (Dan) & bestie to an incredible bunch of girls.

​I love soaking up a good podcast or audio book, nerding out on personal development & health, supporting charitable efforts, gratitude is my life philosophy, crafting relaxes my mind, I’m a “silver lining” kinda lady & it’s unusual to find me without a cup of tea in my hand.

​Like many couples planning to start a family, we thought it would be simple, we were young, healthy & expected that it would just happen! Unfortunately (like many), that wasn’t our reality. After 12 months of trying we finally conceived however at 11wks found out we had had a “missed miscarriage”, soon after we found ourselves pregnant again, this time with twins but again we miscarried. We went on to have another 3 miscarriages before Mia our first born came along. A year later we started trying to conceive again but again found ourselves in the throws of fertility issues after experiencing more miscarriages, finally we with some intervention I carried our Lilly to term. I have to admit like many, after I had kids I lost myself somewhere between the laundry & the lunches – don’t get me wrong, I love being a Mum, it’s all I ever wanted & it was a tough journey to have my kids but I started to feel like it was the only thing in my life. I lost my purpose & I started feeling flat, really flat, ok I’ll admit, I was really depressed. My health had never been worse & my relationship seemed to be going South pretty quick too.
