3 simple ways to Improve your sleep

1. Follow a consistent nighttime routine.

Whether its washing your face, playing soft music, or getting in your favorite pjs these habits give your body cues to begin winding down ay a set time at night over time.

2.Turn down the lights at minimum 2 hours before bed.

The blue light from our phones can throw off our circadian rhythm as it can supress melatonin which plays a big role in our sleep/wake cycle.

Long story short your body thinks its day time because of the light exposure.

Even if you are able to go to sleep often times it's not the deep sleep that makes you feel well rested in the morning.

3.Eat your last meal 2 hours before bed.

For many reasons this is important.

I tell my patients give your body the time it needs to digest that way when its time to sleep its ready.

Poor sleep can lead to poor health.

Which means improving our sleep can very likely improve our health and how we feel in our bodies.
