Workshop Facilitator: Kirrie Ballard PhD FSPA CPSP CCC-SLP
Kirrie started her career in central QLD schools, pre-tech, where she first encountered the challenges of designing effective and efficient speech therapy programs for children. She moved to the US where she studied with world-leading experts in the field of motor learning and experience-dependent neuroplasticity. She co-authored the first published study on using the principles of motor learning approach in speech pathology (apraxia of speech) in 2020. For the past 10 years she has focused on harnessing the power of technology and AI to develop innovative solutions: supporting speech pathologists/educators and engaging children in high-intensity long-term speech practice.
