Even more reason to try conservative treatment (i.e. physiotherapy) before invasive means! (e.g. surgery)
Of course there are going to be exceptions to the rule but with more and more evidence to suggest the benefits of exercise over surgery it is going to worth the conversation to bring up with your health care professional.

"Great to see a simple home exercise program was able to improve knee function to the point where people did not want to have surgery anymore.
This study further supports the current notion that we should advocate our clients and patients to attempt an exercise program first before embarking into surgery. Not always going to be the right move but with numbers like the above it is definitely worth bringing up.
What are barriers to you see people have in not triailing an exercise program before surgery
