4 x 1 Weekly CMT Treatment - HUGE IMPROVEMENT

With a combo of massage and passive stretching, we have been able to improve flexibility in Biggie's hamstrings in only 4 weeks!

Flexibility in muscles is so important in preventing injuries and strains, especially for active dogs. It also allows for your dog to go through the full range of motion intended for that muscle so they can move freely and unrestricted.

INCREASED RANGE OF MOTION AFTER 3 WEEKS

You can see the increased range of motion in the left hip abduction.

This was achieved with only 3 CMT treatments, spaced 1 week apart. Contact us to find out more - centredcanine@gmail.com

The Tokyo Olympics was great and all, but this is the Olympics we really want to see!

Which event would your dog win gold in? What other events do you think should be included?

COMMUNICATION: a vital part of our service

At the 10 second mark in the top right hand corner, you can see Biggie yawn and lick his lips. Dogs will sometimes do this to signal stress or discomfort. This was no coincidence: I was touching a part of his leg that is tight and sensitive. I immediately dialed down the touch and moved onto another area.

To those who are not familiar, this subtle communication could have been missed. This can lead to trust being broken and resistance to further touch; or worst case, can lead to aggression and attack as your dog feels their boundaries are not being respected.

At Centred Canine, we pride ourselves on intuitive communication with you and your dog so that everyone is happy and comfortable - centredcanine@gmail.com

Side by side comparison: before and after massage

25/07/2021

After massage: range of motion and elasticity of the leg muscle has dramatically increased. This video was taken only a few minutes after the first.

Before massage: see how stiff and restricted the leg is when trying to stretch it forwards

Prevention is always better than cure!

Pre-event massages are a great way to prepare your canine athlete for what they're about to do; post-event massages can speed up recovery and reduce severity of any injuries.

When injured, the body will protect itself by restricting movement in the injured area. Whilst great for the short term, this can lead to chronic tightness and pain if not addressed properly.

CMT resets the motor-neuron impulses to release and relax. It also switches sensory neurons from feelings of pain to soothing and relaxation.

A healthy body starts with a healthy mind and spirit.

Chronic stress has a negative affect on your dog's physical health; the opposite is also true! CMT can be relaxing for your dog, allowing their bodies heal faster.
