No one tells you this about coffee and breastfeeding… ☕️

The good news is that you don’t have to ditch your daily coffee to breastfeed your bub 🙌

Up to ~200mg of caffeine a day (that’s about 1–2 coffees) is generally considered totally fine while breastfeeding. I’m not going to lie, I certainly have had those days after sleepless nights with bub where coffee became my whole day’s plan. Try and keep your water intake up and ask for help if you can to try and replace that extra coffee with a nap.

So don’t stress, don’t pump & dump. Just sip and enjoy- preferably while it’s hot

If you’re worried, time your coffee right after a feed or pump.

Bubka was built by us- parents who just wanted pumping to feel simpler, more comfortable and a little less overwhelming. Seeing mums using our pumps at home, at work, in the car, or on the go is what keeps us going.
