Disability Support Worker – Bilingual (Arabic) | Complex & High Behavioural Needs

Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives?
We’re seeking experienced and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our growing team — people who bring compassion, resilience, and cultural understanding to support individuals with complex and high behavioural needs.

About the Role

You’ll provide person-centred support to participants with intellectual, physical, and developmental disabilities. Working within a supportive team, you’ll help clients achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.
Participants may present with challenging behaviours, be at risk of absconding, or require complex medical care such as PEG feeding.
Shifts include mornings, evenings, weekends, public holidays, and sleepovers.

Key Responsibilities

Provide personal care, domestic assistance, and community access.

Support participants with behavioural challenges using approved Behaviour Support Plans.

Safely manage clients at risk of absconding.

Perform PEG feeding, medication administration, manual handling, and other complex care tasks.

Maintain accurate and detailed shift notes and reports.

Encourage independence, confidence, and wellbeing in all participants.

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience with high needs or complex behaviour clients (24/7 supports).

Confident managing challenging or aggressive behaviour.

Experience with PEG feeding and complex medical supports (highly desirable).

Experience supporting clients at risk of absconding (preferred).

Fluent written and verbal English for reporting; bilingual in Arabic highly regarded.

Calm, adaptable, and resilient under pressure.

Requirements

✅ NDIS Worker Screening Check
✅ Certificate III/IV in Disability, Aged Care, or Community Services
✅ Current Driver’s Licence + Reliable Vehicle (with CTP insurance)
✅ Working With Children Check
✅ Manual Handling certification (current and valid)
