✨ What an honour to be part of a panel discussing the art of *low dose herbal prescribing* — a conversation close to my heart.
Deepest thanks to Rixt for facilitating the discussion and for her beautiful book “Low Dose Methodology in Herbal Medicine: History, Philosophy and Application.” 💚💚💚
📖 It’s a must-read must OWN for anyone passionate about the nuanced power of our plants.
Also a big shout-out to my colleagues who shared the panel — what a rich and inspiring exchange of ideas and practice.

🌿 Embracing your unique gifts isn't just a personal journey - it's a gift to the world
🙏🏼YOU are a unique gift to the world.
✨ No matter how small you may think you are, you make the world a better place - perhaps a nuturing mum, a protective dad, the under 12 soccer coach for the 6th year in a row, the playgroup co-ordinator, seniors choir leader, an entrepreneur, a movie maker or music player; life is richer and more meaningful when embracing your gifts. 🌱
You are precious and the world needs you 💚

🌿 Raising children with the wisdom of herbal medicine has been a fundamental part of our family’s wellness journey.
From a young age, my boys have seen first-hand how nature’s medicine supports and heals us all.
🏡This is one of the reasons I created the *Home Healer* program
—to share the gift of herbal knowledge and empower others to nurture their families with the wisdom of our foremothers and fathers.
🌱 It’s not just about the herbs; it’s about fostering connection, health, and the confidence of self-sufficiency in the home.
💚Whether you’re a parent, a healer, or simply someone who wants to learn more about plant medicine, *Home Healer* is here to guide you every step of the way.
📱DM to join the waiting list for 2026, and I'll share some home healing favourites with you along the way.

💚 Im Back Plant People 💚
After a challenging year, I took June to reflect, reset, and heal. The past months have been life-changing, maybe not in a very fun way but I am so grateful to be back and moving forward.
Here’s to new beginnings, growth, and healing. 💚🌿
🌼🙌Thank you for all the love and patience over the past year, and apologies for random trauma dumping at unprofessional times. I give you permission to remind me I have a counsellor, a very good one mind you. 🥹😅💚
Onward and Upwards 🥰.
LOVE AND KISSES ALLY 💋💋💋

Taking a Step Back to Move Forward 🌿 For the month of June, I’ll be stepping away from social media and pausing in-person consultations.
This space is a gift to myself.
Time to rest, recalibrate, and quietly lay the groundwork for the next chapter of my work and life.
What continues during June:
✨ Home Healer classes as scheduled
✨ Herbal remedy orders will be filled as usual
✨ Emails will still be answered
✨ Bookings for July are now open
This decision comes after a big year of personal transition and change. I’m leaning into the quiet... to listen, to re-centre, and to plan for the future with more clarity and intention.
I’m so grateful for the continued support of my community, and most of all, for the three young men I’ve had the privilege of raising. They are my greatest teachers.
Thank you for your understanding and encouragement. I’ll see you again in July, ready to share more of what I’ve been dreaming up.
Warmly,
Ally 💚

🎥 Thank you to the Natural Health Society for having me!
It was a pleasure to present on the powerful role of nutrigenomics — how food can literally speak to our genes, turning on healing and repair pathways within our body. 🧬🥦
I’m looking forward to sharing more about this fascinating area of nutrition over the coming weeks and months — especially how everyday whole foods can support detoxification, hormone balance, inflammation, and longevity. 🌿✨
Stay tuned for practical tips, recipes, and plant-powered science to help you use food as true medicine. 💚

Oh to begin this story with my birth in a field of wild lavender, followed with a childhood bathed nightly in chamomile flowers. Raised on nothing but fresh air, tree climbing and wholefoods. Tending to our biodynamic/permaculture backyard, bottling produce and making home remedies under the guidance of my loving, radiantly healthy parents, singing lullabies in foreign languages while playing the ukulele into the night …
But no. I grew up in the blue collar western suburbs of Sydney with dreams of being a nurse. I loved the hands on work and genuine caring of nurses and while still in preschool I recall declaring in a loud voice, “I’m going to be a nurse!” As a pr***en I would get lost in a series of novels about nurses working with the sick in the community, no doctor in sight. My story continues in a way which may relate to more of you than the opening paragraph. Let’s just say my youth was a tad wild ok? My poor parents and my poor body. At 23 I instinctively knew I couldn’t continue polluting my body and became a vegan.
I devoured any vegetarian literature I could get hold of, reading amazing stories of recovery from life-threatening and chronic illnesses through nutrition, herbal remedies, and other natural healing therapies. I fell in love with the amazing, complex, unique, delightful, frustrating, intelligent piece of machinery our body is. At the age of 30, I reignited my passion for health and healing embarking on a full-time study at a major naturopathic school in Sydney. After 3 years of study, I signed up for Dorothy Hall’s Herbal Medicine College. She was 74 years old and I was pregnant with my first child and her ways really resonated with me, acknowledging not only physical manifestations of health or ill health but the impact emotions and circumstance play in sickness. I have been using this holistic, style since then.
My own healing has been a source of education and insight too, battling an addictive personality and an ability to run my adrenals into overload. Healing, is a life journey on all levels, physically, spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. Physically, I have returned to a plant-based diet and enjoy road and trail running with a couple of marathons and a 50km trail run under my belt. Spiritually, I spend time in prayer, over my medicines, my work, and for each client before opening the doors of the clinic. I acknowledge a loving Creator as the true source of all healing, myself merely a vessel. My husband’s support grounds me emotionally as I walk two paths as both a recipient of healing and a channel of healing to others. Mentally, I am continually upgrading my skills, seeking teachers who share a similar methodology of diagnosis and prescribing, elders found with dirt under their nails rather than a white lab coat. I devour books, podcasts, articles, and blogs on natural health and healing and balance this knowledge with the mainstream science of a Masters of Human Nutrition, which I am completing through Deakin University in Melbourne.
As a wife and mother of three delightfully feral boys, I understand the juggling of ethics, values, and time. I believe as parents we have entered into a new paradigm. One where our families are exposed to synthetic chemicals, food additives, preservatives, and processed junk. I battle and don’t always win, to keep my family on a wholefood diet. I am a believer and supporter of parents to have access to natural childbirth and the right to a private midwife and homebirth. I encourage bonding, baby carrying, breastfeeding, and bringing up the next generation on whole foods and natural medicines to encourage strong bodies.
Education is power and I am not talking about the education that comes from pharmaceutical funded scare campaigns or agenda biased governments. Researching and self-education have never been more important.
Modern Medicine has made some very valuable life-saving additions to healthcare, particularly with acute life-threatening issues. If I was to cut my leg off, hypothetically, of course, I wouldn’t wrap a comfrey leaf around it but head straight for a surgeons table But if I was experiencing things like chronic inflammation in my knee, reoccurring headaches, the anxiety produced heart palpitations, hormonal nightmares, digestive upsets, restless nights or tired days my beloved herbs would be my first point of call, hands down.
I’d love you to come along to where we can discuss any illness patterns you or your family are experiencing. We can discuss how the ancient herbal medicines and a tried and tested Traditional Approach to Healing can help support/combat/reverse/prevent the impact of this modern world on your health and wellbeing.
With Much Love
ALLY
