Making lunchboxes and putting love into everything I do in the kitchen has been one of the most surprising and unexpected joys of motherhood. The kitchen has always been my happy place, but really putting thought and care into creating nourishing, colourful, delicious meals and snacks for Dyllie has unlocked a whole new level of deeply satisfying work.

Thought I’d take a second to reintroduce myself on here because there seems to be lots of new faces around — welcome!

I’m Meg Stevens - wife, new mamma to a precious 3 month old baby girl, pastor, kids worker/primary teacher and most of all, lover of Jesus.

This page began as a way of sharing my journey of battling a chronic illness (chronic fatigue), and looking for ways to heal my health by dealing with root cause rather than just managing symptoms. Diet, exercise, choosing a low tox lifestyle and pursuing an overall holistic approach to my health have all helped me reach a point where I’m the healthiest I’ve been for a decade, and would now say that my chronic fatigue is a thing of the past.

This space is all about helping others find the same health and healing, especially by implementing natural wellness tools like ’s world class essential oils and low tox products. If you want to see results you’ll be astounded by, these are the health supports you need - I’m living proof!

So welcome! And here’s to many more stories of wellness and transformation.

Baby girl is 3 months old!

She’s learning and growing so much every day.

Likes:
- Reading books with Mamma
- Her favourite smiling lion rattle
- Her Daddy’s silly voices and other antics
- Singing in church
- Coming to the gym with Mum and watching all the action

Dislikes:
- Bottles (will still take one thank goodness, but has realised they’re obviously the inferior option for getting her milk)
- Naps anywhere other than Mummy or Daddy’s arms
- Dropping her dummy (a regular occurrence)

We’re completely obsessed with her and love watching her grow. 🥹

Couldn’t let International day of the Midwife slip by without acknowledging our and who supported the arrival of our precious addition this week and brought the most incredibly safe and confident energy into our at home birth space. I’ve known I would want to birth at home when the right time came for a very long time, and having the privilege of working with these two women who are so PRO at what they do has been the greatest honour.

Private practising midwives not only deliver babies at home with YEARS of expertise under their belts, but also provide all the antenatal and postnatal care for their clients in the weeks and months before and after birth. In fact, when came to check in on us today (for the 2nd time after Dyl’s arrival on Thursday morning), she was doing so in the midst of being called in fr possibly her 3rd and 4th births in about as many days — HERO.

All this to say, continuity of care in the world of pregnancy, birth and babies is SO important, but SO limited in Australia’s current obstetric/midwifery model of care. Something needs to change there, and in the rest of the system as a whole, but until then, I can’t rave to you enough about how MAGIC our whole experience of homebirth was, and home that if it’s something you’ve never considered before, that you’ll take the time to do some looking into the incredible research that says outcomes for women birthing at home are so much higher than what we as a society give credit for.

Midwives are heroes. Wherever they work.

PHOTOS:
1. First of many magic moments captured by (her first birth 🤯🥹) - our girl’s first moments in the world, caught from the water by who gently unwrapped her cord from around her neck (three times 🤯) and passed her direct to Mum, with such reassuring calm and confidence. Dyl was alert and well, and must’ve known she had to come fast (6.5ish hour labour with a REAL quick second stage) so her necklace didn’t hurt her. Clever girl. What a moment.

2. Those precious first moments. Jo like a proud mamma watching on.

3. The DREAM TEAM. Mon, Jo, Lisa and THANKFUL.

She’s here!

And our world is forever changed.

DYLAN RAE STEVENS. ✨

Born at home in the wee hours of the morning on Thursday (May 2nd, 3:55am). She surprised us at 39 weeks, deciding the world was ready for her appearance, and we wouldn’t have had it any other way.

3.120kg of deliciousness, we are praising God for this precious gift.

Thankful for the support of our home birth dream team 🥹✨ - it was magic.
