Come meet us and find out just how far technology has expanded the possibilities for your hearing. We have recently changed the set up of our clinics for the better. Having left St Vincent Hospital after 20 years to focus on two suburban clinics at Double Bay and Balmain. These clinics are aptly named as independent to reflect the emphasis that we as directors feel is so important in not being aligned with a single manufacturer. All three audiologists at the Independent Hearing Centre are extremely experienced with every aspects of hearing diagnosis and management, working to always put the client’s needs first. As a result of advances in technology there are more products available than ever before to help those with hearing loss. The audiologists at the Independent Hearing Centre will take you through the products that will suit you, your lifestyle and your budget. We have recently added wax removal to our list of services due to popular demand. The Independent Hearing Centre provides all aspects of hearing testing and hearing devices including hearing aids, cochlear implants, bone anchored aids and roger pens.

Traffic noise: It sounds ‘like gunshots ... it wakes up dogs, it wakes up babies’ - interesting reading in the SMH this morning.

Research has found the noisiest spots in Sydney were along the Western Distributor and Cahill Expressway. The city entrance to the Harbour Bridge was the worst.

The World Report on Hearing is now available! With over 430 million people worldwide living with disabling hearing loss, and this number projected to grow to almost 700 million by 2050, action on hearing health has never been more important.

The World report on Hearing aims to provide evidence-based guidance to drive actions for integration of quality EHC services into national health plans of Member States, as part of their work towards universal health coverage.
