Rapid 1st Aid is predominately a mobile business where we bring the classroom comes to you. Being mobile allows me to tailor make a course to suite your training needs including flexible training schedules this includes before and after business hours, to assist with decreasing potential productivity time. If you are requiring first aid training as an individual, if you have a small group of peopl

e or don’t have the training space why not attend one of our regular monthly courses in Smeaton Grange. As an experienced trainer, my courses are very practical with little time to sit in a chair and fall asleep, my classes are fun filled, fast paced and conducted over a period of 6-7hrs with completion of some pre-course material prior to the training day. My knowledge of these subjects comes from having an emergency medical background and with over 15 years’ experience in training and assessing in this field. The importance of learning skills such as effective CPR gives a casualty an increased chance of surviving, currently the chances of surviving an outer hospital cardiac arrest are less than 5%, having access to help within the first few minutes, good effective CPR and defibrillation can automatically increase the chances of survival to greater than 85%

Rapid 1st Aid has been a finalist in the 2016 & 2017 Camden/Wollondilly local business awards for specialized business. As the owner of Rapid 1st Aid there is NO middle person, you deal with me from start to finish. We offer a large range of first aid kits, supplies and defibrillators. I ensure the training provided is of very high quality, but shown in a way that is easy, practical, simple but mostly importantly fun. Courses are short and sweet and to the point and all this at a very affordable price. All courses are run in partnership with Allens Trainining RTO 90909 http://www.allenstraining.com.au/ DO YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO IN AN EMERGENCY??

Happy to say made it onto the trophy 🏆 shelf at Matt Stone Racing for NOT needing to use the ouchy kit!

First aid kits are like an insurance policy have to have but never want to use!

Great job to the team. Proud to be on board for 2025.

First Aid in the Workplace: It’s the Employer’s Responsibility to Decide What’s Needed

When it comes to first aid in the workplace, there is no one-size-fits-all approach.

According to the First Aid in the Workplace Code of practice, it is the employer’s legal responsibility to determine the type and quantity of first aid equipment, supplies, and personnel required based on a workplace-specific risk assessment. In other words, the minimum requirement can be customised for each workplace.

This requirement applies to all industries—from construction and retail to education, hospitality, and community services. The assessment should consider:

The nature of work and tasks performed
* Known hazards and potential injuries
* Workplace size, layout, and staff numbers
* The location of the site and proximity to emergency medical services
* The needs of workers who work alone, off-site, or in remote areas

Take the childcare sector, for instance. Many workers childcare sector; providing supervisio and providing education, in some cases children are in care longer than they are at home and this maybe in home or in a centre environment.

These environments introduce variables such as medical conditions, childhood illnesses, behavioural and/or trauma incidents, and sometimes with limited access to emergency assistance. In such cases, it may be necessary to:

* Equip vehicles with mobile first aid kits
* Ensure all support staff are trained in
* HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid in an Education or Care Setting
* Develop clear protocols for mamaging medical conditions like Asthma & Anaphylaxis
* Provide additional training in condition-specific support (e.g., anaphylaxis, asthma and plans or seizure response)
* Relying on generic first aid kits or minimal training could result in inadequate responses during emergencies—placing staff, clients, and the organisation at risk.

A customised approach ensures that the workplace is genuinely prepared for the types of injuries or medical events that could occur.

After a tragic incident, the employers risk assessment is analysed and if best practice for that employer is not obtained, then there may be consequences for that incident, therfore its best to be on the right side of what’s required by law.

Our team provides first aid training and workplace assessments tailored to your organisation’s needs.

During an emergency is not the time to be preparing, you want to be prepared not scared and confident you've got this and are in control.

We can help you identify the right level of training and resources to meet both compliance requirements and the practical demands of your environment.

Today I received this beautiful email and yes Melissa called me straight after. This is what she had to say;

"Morning REVIEW for First Aid Training with Anne"

I’ve attended Anne’s first aid courses for several years now, and they’re always professional, engaging, and incredibly valuable. Anne has a way of making the content easy to understand, interactive, and relatable, which really helps it stick.

Just recently, I had to respond to a real-life emergency when a man collapsed at the shops. Because of Anne’s training, I was able to stay calm, delegate tasks, and manage the scene until the ambulance arrived. I coordinated with security, pharmacy staff, and bystanders, relayed critical information to paramedics, and supported the patient throughout. I could hear Anne’s voice in my head the whole time!

As soon as it was over, I called her to say thank you, because her training truly made all the difference.

I highly recommend her courses to anyone wanting to be confident and capable in an emergency."

*** I feel truly honoured I have empowered someone and gave them the confidence to go and make that difference. ***

Today I was given the opportunity to present at the in U Turn The Wheel program aiming to better educate our newest members to the road!

Interesting fact that those teaching the kids to drive you are NOT allowed to use your mobile phone including bluetooth connectivity, this is finable offence!

Can honestly say I felt privileged to be asked to present to the students, I definitely felt like a made a difference in a wonderful way.

Thank you to the Rotary Picton team you are amazing 👌🫶
