North Ryde Medical Centre

North Ryde Medical Centre We are a General Practice medical centre, providing consultations and services for all your medical

We are a GP-owned traditional general practice and health clinic, bringing together independent Specialist General Practitioners and Allied Health Practitioners to serve the community’s health needs. Our doctors and practice team strive to treat every person in an ethical, non-judgemental, and inclusive manner. The doctors at North Ryde Medical Centre honour the origins and long-standing traditions of General Practice medicine, providing person-centred, continuing, comprehensive, and empathic care in all aspects of one’s health. From the care of the newborn to the elderly, serving all facets of the community is at the heart of that profession which we so proudly call General Practice. With all the doctors being either Fellows of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, (who are recognised by the Medical Board of Australia as Specialist General Practitioners), or Registrars (who are fully-qualified doctors undergoing rigorous GP speciality training and supervision), the Allied Health Practitioners being fully registered with their respective regulatory boards, and the Practice being fully-Accredited by Quality Practice Accreditation, you can trust that you are being treated to the highest standard. Whilst maintaining professionalism, our practitioners’ down-to-earth, patient-centred approach means they all value good communication and rapport with their patients, and value the privilege of getting to know how your health fits into your life story. Navigating the health system and deciding what treatment is best for you and your family can be complex and confusing, and so at North Ryde Medical Centre we can help you co-ordinate your care as your own GP can become your “medical home”. No matter who you are, no matter what stage of disease, and no matter what stage of life, we believe all people have a right to health and wellbeing, whether it be physical, mental, emotional and/or social. So who is your GP?

“He who has health, has hope; and he who has hope, has everything.”

Sharing the LOVE that is Mothers Day.

For those for whom it is a joyful day, it is the love you have for your mum or your children that makes it so happy. We hope you get to celebrate it with all the joy that is life itself!

For those for whom it is a difficult day, it may be the love for a mother or child who is not with you today, or the love or yearning for an unborn child either lost at miscarriage or not conceived, that makes this day so painful.

Whatever type of day this is for you, whether celebrating or grieving, it is love which makes it what it is.

With love & thoughts on Mothers Day.

COVID-Safe Outdoor Vaccination Clinic:

What fantastic progress the NSW community has made so far in the uptake of COVID-19 vaccination! To date (26/09/2021), 85.2% of people >16yrs in NSW have had 1 dose, and 59.2% have had 2 doses.🤩
Thank you to those in the community who have come to receive one of the 7500 vaccinations given at our clinic so far.

In order to help those in the community who remain concerned about being vaccinated indoors with other people, we have now set up our COVID-Safe Outdoor Vaccination Clinic - just in time for Spring! 🌳

Some of our clinics will be scheduled completely outdoors (weather permitting 🌞), but if you prefer to be vaccinated indoors instead (or vice versa), please speak to our friendly receptionists.

We hope this will help keep the vaccination rate in NSW going onwards and upwards! Let's do this, so we can all get back to doing the things we love.

A shout-out to our fantastic team of medical receptionists and nurses! From the start of the COVID-19 pandemic last year, to the sick-patient screening guidelines, to the ups and downs of the community's emotions, and now through the Vaccination roll-out and its frequently-changing guidelines, they have worked non-stop, diligently and professionally, and taken it all in their stride!
They are the true frontline, and are playing a key role in moving our nation forward! 🤩

Medical receptionists have taken on new roles during the pandemic, which no-one planned for. We must not forget them and the stressful work they do.

19th May is World Family Doctor Day, and on this day our practice celebrates the unique relationship we enjoy with each of our patients.
Over the past year, General Practices throughout Australia, just like health systems all over the world, have been tested like never before. However with the unwavering support of our patient community, and with the trust that you placed in our doctor-patient relationship, our practice strives harder each and every day to learn how better to serve our patient community.
2021 has been designated by the WHO as the International Year of Health and Care Workers. However we don't want to celebrate us. We want to celebrate the unique relationship that a life-long GP has with their patient. So thank you to all our patient community, we couldn't have done it without you 😊
