Where do you see yourself in 12mths?

This question I had to ask myself when I was making the choice on whether to stay or leave my corporate role. It came down to these questions of reflection?

✨️ in 12mths my role wasn't guaranteed
✨️ in 12mths progression wasn't an option, there was no chance of a promotion
✨️ where and who would I be in 12mths if I took a chance on myself or if I stayed?
✨️Or, where else could spend my time more beneficially?
✨️ in 2yrs time my job is not going to be there, so do I wait for that and not be prepared or do I take the chance now and be ahead of the curve?

I had to answer these questions honestly and all roads lead to me taking the leap of faith and take a chance on me.

Nobody tells you about the messy middle. The part where you've already let go of what no longer fits but haven't yet arrived at what's next. The second guessing yourself on Tuesday, then again on Wednesday and Thursday. By Friday there is a quiet flicker of rightness or a small win that keeps you moving til next week.

It isn't linear, it isn't pretty. But slowly between the spaces of doubt, you find your way.

So for right now, it's not waiting to feel ready.

I am ready.

This gentle, imperfect fully alive version of myself (yourself) is exactly what I've been looking for all along.

The biggest realisation I had is that you don't have make the choice alone.

It isn't a dramatic moment. There is no lighting bolt, no breakdown in a meeting. It's quieter than that.

It's the hanging on to hope thinking that you'll finally be recognised for efforts but to only have your inner knowing confirmed that this no longer the place for you.

Once you know that and feel it deep within your bones, you can't unfeel it.

Then it becomes a choice. To stay and endure heartache, pain and numbness or to see what is waiting on the other side.

The title is what I worked towards and had the salary to match but yet something deep inside didn't quite feel right or in street terms "it wasn't vibing". So I chose to walk away because mentally and physically it was taking a toll.

It's not easy choosing yourself especially with daily commitments. I was lucky enough to have commitments that are manageable for me and my lifestyle.

This choice was the most honest choice for me. Trading certainty for meaning and building something that feels right.

Healing and integrity becomes the foundations and from there, it becomes a life you don't want to escape from.
