Love a good concept presentation!…a concept is where we present our sketches, ideas and materials to discuss with our clients .We have always worked this way, more so with residential clients as commercial design is a whole new ball game. .We have always thought there is not a ‘one way’ or ‘my way’ design solution…the client in the end lives in our design, pays for it and needs to have an input & our guidance from start to finish. It is their space….We must be very proud of our work and final result, but in the end, we hand it over to our clients…it is theirs! .We will never present just one concept and say this is IT!! .

I love this time of the year…we are in holiday mode….we get to share quality time with our family & friends. ..and slowdown!…The weather is wonderful in our Christmas Summer time.

In Brisbane for a day trip yesterday to source furniture for a project & made sure I had time to see this unbelievable exhibition
I have followed Dutch fashion designer/artist for many years and never ever thought I’d see her truly amazing and out of this world designs in person…so unbelievable is her wealth of original creativity & use of materials and techniques including digital printing, 3D printing and modelling, the use of different, out of the box and sustainable materials within her fashion, all so clever and to be applauded.
I was so impressed by the exhibition’s curation by the art gallery. So many spaces that showcased many different collections and included collaborations with other artists, including sculptures, natural corals and sea creatures, fossils, photographic artwork, insects and skeletons, vintage books & visual displays of documenting the design and crafting processes plus her past fashion parades and the use of music and sound to capture each individual story. What stories they are too!
I was blown away seeing her work, my creative cup is now truly full after yesterday.
