It isn't about having to fully embody it (you might even feel the opposite) but becoming curious as to how you might approach your movements, and your life in general, if that feeling were true for you. Ok world, be patient with me...I've been a bit behind with life recently! But thought it's probably time to share that I've been teaching yoga at the beautiful Inspire Yoga and Wellbeing in Dee Why for at least a month now! πŸ’ŽπŸ’Ž Since moving down under my life looks a little different. 🐨 🐨 It's taught me many things, but most of all, that life is in constant flux; that we sometimes outgrow parts of ourselves that we thought were fixed; that we have to open up to change and uncertainty to make room for new possibilities. Sometimes that space feels uncomfortable - we like things to be clear and certain, but it's not always the nature of life. So, cutting to the chase, my class tomorrow morning at 6am (yes, 6am 😨) is about making space for all of it. Spaciousness. Openness. Acceptance. See you on the mat x

So much of our energy in the world is externally directed. Yet it is so important to consciously create space to draw in. The time around the new moon is perfect for this.

I've felt the waning of my internal energy these past few days. I have felt called to journal, getting honest with myself about places in my life where I've ignored my intuition and succumb to old patterns, writing down what I'm ready to release and the energy that I need to call in.

Our psyche can speak through us in so many ways...movement, music, nature, art, writing, singing, dreaming, Oracle cards. We just have to create space, get creative & be open.

One of the best ways to nurture our second chakra (connected with joy, emotions, sensuality) is through invoking beauty. Whether through buying yourself some gorgeous flowers, visiting a beautiful spot in nature, spending time by water, wearing clothes made from beautiful fabrics, or diffusing oils such as rose, Jasmine, ylang ylang.

For the last few days my energy has been feeling off balance. I knew I needed to stop rushing around and slow down. It is my natural tendency to want to do things, be productive, active etc (my vata constitution). Yet often we resist the things that most nourish us.

This afternoon I went for a long mindful beach walk with the intention to reconnect with myself and this new land that I now call home. It started sunny, and ended with me getting absolutely drenched through! But it felt soothing and cleansing and exactly what I needed. Nature always provides.

Then I gifted myself with a 30 minute meditation. I haven't done much recently and my soul is craving it. Feeling so much better and setting myself the intention to actively cultivate more 'slowing down' into my daily practice.
