Ever felt like you're stuck, circling through your own thoughts and emotions, unable to see what's really going on, and how to move forward?

I often get asked why someone would use a coach or counsellor. Honestly, this is exactly why!

There's a reason why your BodyMind keeps things stored in hard-to-reach places. And the conscious mind just can't go there - at least not on it's own.

l can confidently say, after years of repeating old stories to new therapists, my usually very strong conscious mind didn't get me very far. In fact, often it tried to trick me with intellectual gymnastics and justifications. While my heart and soul hurt, my conscious mind was very diligently trying to keep the status quo just right. It was trying to keep me 'safe' - or so it thought.

And certainly, you can do a lot with what you already consciously know, but you just can't see your own blind spots.

πŸ” And to someone who can see, the Unconscious likes to leak clues. It will leak through your posture and physical symptoms, through your language, through your intonation, sometimes even just through the energy you bring to the room. It's always leaving breadcrumbs back to the core wound.......if you have someone on your side that can see the trail and help guide you to the healing wisdom that sits along side it. 🌟

When you're burning out, Mondays can be tough!

If you can't take it slow, at least make time for Microbreaks.

Microbreaks are short, rejuvenating pauses you can take during your workday to boost productivity and well-being. Afternoons are the worst for me as the inbox keeps filling, so I schedule time for at least one of these - and go to my happy place whenever I need to recentre.

1. **Deep Breathing:** Take a 2-3 minute break to engage in deep breathing exercises. Inhale slowly through your nose for a count of four, hold for four counts, and exhale through your mouth for a count of six. This simple practice can instantly reduce stress and increase focus.

2. **Stretch and Move:** Stand up, stretch your arms overhead, and do a few gentle stretches. Roll your shoulders, flex your wrists, and rotate your ankles. Consider a quick walk around your workspace to get your blood flowing and reduce muscle tension.

3. **Mindful Meditation:** Dedicate a few minutes to mindful meditation. Find a quiet spot, close your eyes, and focus on your breath or a calming mantra. This can help clear your mind and increase concentration.

4. **Eye Exercises:** Staring at screens for extended periods can strain your eyes. Take a moment to do eye exercises. Blink rapidly for 10 seconds, then focus on an object in the distance for a few seconds. Repeat a few times to refresh your eyes.

5. **Quick Hydration:** Grab a glass of water and a slice of lemon - add mint leaves if you have them. It will feel a bit more special, and worth taking the time to stop and mindfully drink slowly. Staying hydrated can prevent afternoon energy slumps and boost cognitive function.

And if all else fails - take 5 minutes, go to your happy place, and pretend you've got all the time in the world to do everything you need.....
