I was invited to speak to year 11 students at Figtree High School last week. My 1 hour visit turned into nearly 3 hours. Chatting to many individuals after my talks and convincing many students to approach the school councillor for help.

A very successful week in Perth visiting schools, rugby league clubs and fire stations telling my story. The interaction,feedback and general conversation around mental health was encouraging. The untold stories hidden by embarrassment and fear of bullying flowed freely. This is my purpose. Stories from 8 year olds, up to adults was emotional at times but rewarding for everyone involved. Thankyou to the people involved for organising the events.

A big day but a really successful one. A lot of feedback n interaction with senior students at Carine senior high school and two fire departments here in Perth. Talking “Mental health”. My Story -
On Monday I was privileged to open a masterclass with Dr Allan Wade n Linda Coates on “Repurposing The Cycle Of Violence” I’m a volunteer for DVSM (Domestic Violence Service Management) an amazing organisation who together with Allan n Linda are really lifting the lid on how we treat n respond to people who have been a victim of Domestic & Family Violence..
I am in such a different place in my life now (happy, loved & free) the opportunity to tell my story in front of 100+ people was life changing!!!! It’s empowering to be ok with the hardships we face because that in essence is what makes us who we are 💖
