The Marvellous Yogi A boutique yoga space in Concord, Sydney. A place where minds get a break and bodies come alive with yoga, meditation and mindfulness. Hi and welcome! Namaste

My name is Boz. I’m the mother of one beautifully cheeky toddler, wife to a good & honest man and founder of The Marvellous Yogi. The Marvellous Yogi is still a seed. It will be a yoga space situated in the Clubhouse at Greenlees Tennis Centre, Concord. I’ll be teaching adult yoga, kids yoga and meditation. Instead of flinging our doors open and taking you by surprise, I want you involved in the process from the beginning. I want this space to be a space for you. I’ll be looking for feedback and giving you a peek into setting up a yoga studio from scratch. I’ll also be posting info on yoga, my life as a yogi mum and other stuff I think might make life a little lighter and your heart a little
happier. So enjoy, this page is for you!

I sense a lot of people I meet at present are feeling rushed, stressed, hurried, agitated. I can sense it in their voice, in their manner, in their energy. I feel like I need to be particularly present and slow down to prevent myself from taking on their quickening nature. If this resonates with you, remember to take time to tune in. What is your body telling you? Our body is always talking to us. Sending us feedback. We just need to quiten down to hear it. Do you feel a nervous sensation around your solar plexus? Do the tops of your shoulders feel tight? Does your lower back ache? These are all signs. Go outside and let your skin feel the heat of the sun. Bring your hands to the sides of your ribcage and breathe deeply. Feel your ribcage expand as you breathe in and fall back towards your midline as you exhale. Pray. Sing. Smell spring. Drink a glass of warm water and just do that, nothing else. Carve out these breaks to give yourself an opportunity to switch on the parasympathetic nervous system. If we keep going on in this "electric state", our body eventually intervenes; a cold, a migraine, a heart attack. Listen to the more subtle signs.

How true is this? Yoga is the only way I can achieve this and admittedly it doesn't always happen. It's a process.

My home is normally filled with mess. Toys, dirty dishes...it's taken me a while to accept the mess as I like things to be in order. I still keep a few nice things within the chaotic mess that I love looking at, like this red rose coupled with some chalky blue candlesticks. I often find myself experiencing a by simply and quickly glancing at these beautiful objects. Simple thing. Simple act. It works for me in many ways.
