I sense a lot of people I meet at present are feeling rushed, stressed, hurried, agitated. I can sense it in their voice, in their manner, in their energy. I feel like I need to be particularly present and slow down to prevent myself from taking on their quickening nature. If this resonates with you, remember to take time to tune in. What is your body telling you? Our body is always talking to us. Sending us feedback. We just need to quiten down to hear it. Do you feel a nervous sensation around your solar plexus? Do the tops of your shoulders feel tight? Does your lower back ache? These are all signs. Go outside and let your skin feel the heat of the sun. Bring your hands to the sides of your ribcage and breathe deeply. Feel your ribcage expand as you breathe in and fall back towards your midline as you exhale. Pray. Sing. Smell spring. Drink a glass of warm water and just do that, nothing else. Carve out these breaks to give yourself an opportunity to switch on the parasympathetic nervous system. If we keep going on in this "electric state", our body eventually intervenes; a cold, a migraine, a heart attack. Listen to the more subtle signs.
