What is Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS)?
A neurological 🧠 speech sound disorder that affects the precision and consistency of movements. The cause of CAS may be known or unknown. The core impairment is in programming movements for speech. Children with CAS will have errors in the production of their sounds and words. They may also have difficulty with prosody (i.e., volume, rate, and rhythm) of their speech 💬

There are lots of great therapy options for children with CAS! 💪

🤔 Ever wondered how to help your child navigate everyday social situations with more confidence?

📖Social Stories are short, clear, and supportive tools that help children understand what to expect and how to respond. They're especially helpful for autistic and neurodivergent children, and those who feel overwhelmed in new settings.

✨At our clinic, we can help personalise social stories to suit your child’s unique needs—because when children feel prepared, they thrive.

Eye gaze devices offer life changing support for people with restricted/limited motor movements from conditions such as Cerebral Palsy, Motor Neuron Disease or Rett Syndrome.

Not only can these devices expand the communication abilities of these individuals, but they can also allow our clients to access the internet, control the lights in their house and change the TV channel.

We're so lucky at Nash to work collaboratively with the team at with some of our eye-gaze clients.
