* Complex Disability Home Care Support - located in Woolloongabba, Qld!
Our client is an established NDIS support provider that takes great pride in providing participants with their choice of support to optimise the quality of life through assistance in independent living.
Currently recruiting multiple Enrolled Nurses with immediate start availability, that are experienced within complex disability care and are highly participant centric, passionate and self-motivated.
As the successful applicant, you will be allocated shifts as part of an on-going 24-hour care roster with the one participant.
Enrolled Nurse - Disability Home Support role in detail:
As an Enrolled Nurse (EN) within Disability Support, you will be responsible for performing complex care as well as other support services as specified by the participants care plan.
The Position:
* Ensure the continuity of complex care and participant support as specified by care plan
* Ensure compliance of all company standards, regulatory requirements, and policies
* Complex care can include but is not limited to, Tracheostomy care, Peg Feeding, Bowel Care, Catheter Care, Manual Handling using hoists as well as other apparatus, managing and issuing medication.
* Ongoing risk assessment and management to ensure the participant optimal care and safety as well as your own
Monitoring, reviewing, and reporting on an on-going basis all participant case notes
To succeed in this role, you will meet all the essential criteria below:
* EN registration, endorsed by AHPRA – qualification need to be presented on application
* Current First Aid and CPR, National Police check, Working with * Children Check, Yellow Card - Working with individuals with Disability Clearance.
* Manual handling certification, NDIS Worker Orientation Module - Quality, Safety and you certificate, Covid-19 Infection Control Certificate.
* Current Australian Driver’s License, and access to own vehicle
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in providing complex disability care in a home care setting
* Prior experience in complex care such as Tracheostomy care, Peg Feeding, Bowel Care, Catheter Care, Manual Handling using hoists as well as other apparatus, managing and administering medication
* Excellent written documentation and assessment skills
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
