⭐️ Big news at Word Stars ⭐️

We’re excited to share that Mike has been promoted to Clinical Lead, officially starting Term 2, 2026.

Mike is an incredible therapist and mentor, known for his thoughtful practice and generous support of our team. In his new role, he’ll be supporting our therapists through structured mentoring and supervision.

This is a big step forward for our clinic as we continue to strengthen clinical leadership and ensure high-quality, outcomes-focused care for children and families.

Ivy brings incredible energy to her sessions and a calm, thoughtful presence to every team she works with. She collaborates closely with families, educators and therapists to support her clients holistically.

She has a strong passion for regulation, engagement and meaningful communication in all forms, including high-tech AAC. If there’s a way for a child to be heard, Ivy will find it — and make it joyful along the way.

A tired but very happy team on the final day of our Getting Ready for Kindy Intensive. 💛

This program runs two tailored groups — one for children entering mainstream kindergarten and one for children with higher support needs — each designed to meet children where they’re at.

With small adult-to-child ratios, our highly trained team provides the level of support that actually makes a difference.

Our focus? Following routines, social connection, oral language and early literacy, supporting children to walk into kindy with confidence. 💪🏫

• the key strategies we’ll use
• how progress will be measured

We then check-in regularly to review what’s working and adjust when needed.

Word Stars wasn’t built by accident.

After years of clinical work in various settings — and plenty of frustration with vague, open-ended therapy — we (Celine and Rosie) knew there had to be a better way.

With a strong research lens and a shared belief in outcomes-driven therapy, we created a speech therapy clinic where progress is planned, measured, and talked about openly with families. And we found a brilliant team of speech pathologists who value this too, making it a reality everyday.

Clear and personalised goals. Measurable progress. Families and therapists who feel confident in the next steps.
