✨ Chinese Medicine Tip: Balance Your Liver Energy ✨

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Liver helps energy, emotions, and blood flow smoothly. When it gets stagnant (which happens a lot in our busy lives), you might feel:

💢 Irritable
😩 Emotionally stuck
😤 Easily frustrated
😣 Tense in your jaw, neck, or shoulders

Here’s how to support your Liver energy and emotional flow:

🌿 Move your body – especially walking or stretching the sides of your body. Movement moves Qi!

🥬 Eat your greens – the Liver loves bitter greens like rocket, broccoli, and mint.

💆‍♀️ Try Acupressure on Liver 3
Find it between your big toe & second toe, about 2 finger-widths up. Press gently for 1–2 minutes while breathing deeply. Helps release stuck energy + calm the mind.

These small daily rituals can make a big difference.

VERBAL Learners

Working with your dominant learning style can help to increase confidence, ability, and lower resistance to learning new or challenging things.

Verbal learners understand concepts best through spoken or written words.

Some ideas on how to work with this learning style are shared below.

STORYTELLING: Create and share stories using a specific topic or subject.
Fun Twist Idea: Use props or costumes to make fun and engaging, a great way to connect with others.

WORD GAMES: Play games like Scrabble, Boggle, or Pictionary.
Fun Twist Idea: Use a theme for the words to focus on eg. foods or animals.

GROUP DISCUSSIONS: organise debates or discussions on a topic of interest
Fun Twist Idea: Use a “hot seat” format to make it quick and exciting.

POETRY SLAMS: Write and perform poems.
Fun Twist Idea: hold a friendly competition for most creative, best performance winners.

ROLE-PLAYING: Act out historical events or literary scenes.
Fun Twist Idea: Take the settings outside or to new and exciting places.

What type of learner are you and your children?

Ever wondered why some children struggle to sit still and “listen” in the classroom? Or why it feels so hard to sit down to read and absorb something?

We all have a dominant learning style that we find learning the most easeful using.

There are 5 main types of learning styles and we can be a combination of them as well.

VERBAL learners - understand concepts through spoken or written words.
VISUAL learners - grasp ideas through visual aids and images.
KINESTHETIC learners - learn best through movement and hands on activities
AUDITORY learners - absorb information through listening and verbal interaction.
LOGICAL learners - prefer structured, logical problem-solving approaches.

Understanding yours and/or your child’s dominant learning style can help to make learning fun and increase confidence in ability to learn.

To help work with your dominant learning style, I will be doing a post series to explore each of the learning styles and give examples of ways to make learning fun and engaging. This can help to increase confidence, ability, and lower resistance to learning new or challenging things.

A reminder to choose things each day that recharge your energy. We spend so much time running from one thing to the next, we don’t take a minute to check in with our bodies until we crash. Then repeat the next day.

Choosing things from this list that refuel you, will help to balance your energy and stress levels.

Create some space to make time for you, it is so important. Self care is not selfish. Self care is life so that you can show up for everyone and everything else in your best capacity.

Twin flame love ❤️

The most intense and beautiful love experience. When someone sees and gets you so fully, you can’t hide any part of yourself. You are called to bring the shadows to the surface and clear out old protective patterns so you can show up authentically. It’s a journey of self discovery and discovery of your partner.

Love is a choice. To show up and override the conditional love we are taught. Love with expectations, love with conditions, love with a guarded heart is not loving to your full potential. This just blocks you from receiving the love you desire.

Always remember love is a choice and everyone is human. Perfection is protection. Teach your partner how to love you and allow them to do the same. Choosing to love through the pain, communicating and healing those parts of you you’ve had to fight for. You’re in this together so find a way to do it together.

Bring your child to work day. As mum was in session with a client, DD jumped into her own session. Never too young to start prioritising health and wellness. A first acupuncture session at 11 yo with this divine being .acupuncture. Offering acu and qi gong.

This busy mind switched off and relaxed. She’s already asking for more. Nothing like creating space for the body and mind to rest from an early age. My absolute favourite clinic to not only see my own patients but to recharge too. So many incredible practitioners on hand

💫 Pleasure 🌟

Allow yourself pleasure free of guilt.
If we attach a story as to why we shouldn’t be doing something, we don’t truly enjoy and embody the experience. We deprive ourselves of joy, pleasure, fun and those are the states our nervous system craves to expand, rest and heal.

Going into a pleasure experience not from an “f it”, but a “hell yeh” allows us to embrace and enjoy the moment. It allows us to receive, refuel and enjoy.

So next time you indulge in an experience including eating good food or having a drink, tell your body it’ll be ok. It changes the energy of what you’re receiving. Nature is always a hell yes! Put down this to-do’s and know you’ll have more energy to do those things if you afford yourself the recharge.

The healing process really takes off when we reclaim those parts of ourselves that were never truly seen, heard, loved and accepted in the ways we needed.

Learning to self soothe teaches us to nourish and nurture ourselves. We grow to only NEED ourselves for love and validation. We can then CHOOSE our tribe to fill our cups in healthy ways. We stand on our own two feet, own our choices and know our worth ❤️

I’m passionate in sharing ways to reduce the toxic load on your body and in your home whilst continuing to provide a sustainable future for us all to enjoy. Our little family loves the outdoors with a special love for snow, surf and skate. Hubby and I met in Lake Tahoe, California whilst he was pursuing professional snowboarding and I was teaching snowboarding and taking a break from my career having both just completed our study at university.

I now work from home so that I can be mum to my kids, a choice i’m thankful I made that is not without challenges but provides many blessings. I am able to work around my little family’s needs, bless us with the freedom to travel and am surrounded with incredible people who are passionate about health, wellness and self care. I’ve never felt more empowered or inspired. We’re growing at an incredible rate and are searching for people who’d like to create their own wellness success stories.
