People pay a lot of money to transform their lives through a spiritual, health or mindfulness retreat.
Whilst I think these are amazing experiences...I have been a practioner at many and am part of a retreat collective...sometimes we fail to realise we can use the retreat model of transformation in our everyday lives.
What is that model?
Comfortable accommodation nestled in nature. Scenic beauty that allows our senses to experience the awe of nature and our connection to it.
A water feature that allows us to experience the immersion of our bodies and connect to the healing qualities of water through cold water therapy and weightlessness.
Mindful cooking and eating . Slowing down to enjoy both the joint experience of cooking food in communion with others and then sitting in gratitude before it's mindful mastication.
Authentic relating in communion with one or more people. Sharing our struggles or joys from a perspective of being seen and validated in our own unique internal experience.
Allowing our essence to flow through activities that spark
joy and pursuer our creative expression and bridge our soul connection. Dancing, drawing, journaling, photography, poetry etc
This weekend I went to see my friend in Gosford who is one of my retreat buddies and without realising it we embodied all the essences of the retreat experience in the comfort of her own home.
I have come back transformed, rejuvenated and revived ready to bring those qualities into my daily life.
It's sometimes hard when we get back to the program of doing but we can always embody this retreat model into our daily existence and uplift our spirits.
If you need reviving, rejuvenation or a reset I would love to bring that relaxation and sense of rest to your nervous system through my intuitive bodywork. Let go of the struggle in your mind by releasing the tension in your body.
