It’s time to introduce my very special doll to the world 🥰

I made this beautiful girl with in one of her doll making workshops. Her guidance and patience was wonderful and she is so very talented!!

I feel like Gracie emerged exactly as she was always going to. She told me her name… (really!) She has a special rose quartz hidden within her chest, and her gorgeous hair was dyed by my friend and colleague 🥰

I love her so much, she’s a lovely addition to my playroom and she joins my very first ever doll! I love seeing the children play with both dolls, I am literally reliving my childhood 💖🙏🏻🥰

It was a lovely day for us with 2/3 of the child crew present - the other 3rd in our thoughts though 😘

But… are they… because it’s so random, one day I find a big one, and the next two small ones again, and the next one big and one small!

On being 50…

I still don’t feel it, whatever it’s supposed to feel like. I thought I’d feel and look and behave “older”.

What I do feel, is happier and healthier, more at peace. Less alone, less anxious, calmer.

I realise we’re all just the same as we were as teenagers, we still get triggered by the same things and we still have the same traits, but I guess what I did is I spent half my life worrying, noticing lack, finding fault, missing out… and I’ve worked hard for the last few years to rewire my brain to always see the beauty and feel the joy, and take better care of my Self - rather than doing those things only sometimes.

So, this is me, 50, and fine with it.

Well, trying to be fine with it 😉😅

But something that is occupying too much of my brain-space now is the question of whether to allow a streak of grey to appear in my hair… or wait until I’m 60 🤔🤷🏼‍♀️😆

Meet the cluckers!

Lemon, Myrtle and Pepper.

They travelled a long way to be here, and it was written that they were for the cooking pot 🥺 … but we rewrote their story! Now they will live a life of luxury and splendour on my country estate as layers, friends, and bug and scrap collectors.

Lemon is timid, her dislikes are being in a coop and her likes are pumpkin and running away from people. Myrtle is chilled, she doesn’t dislike anything much and she likes anything as long as it’s within reach. Pepper is the oldest and gets annoyed by the other two following her around, but it’s tolerable when she finds corn cobs with some juicy corn still attached 🤤
