As a Sustainable Salons network partner 95% of waste is repurposed and operates its business with rainwater tanks and solar energy. Sara is an international trained and passionate dermal therapist who qualified over 25 years ago in the UK. She holds a Beauty Specialist Dip (UK), Beauty Therapist Dip (Aus) and Bachelor of Health Science degree. Her quest for learning and assisting clients achieve their skin goals through nutrition and wellbeing led to her completing a Master of Human Nutrition and Research and becoming a professional nutritionist. Sara is a member of the Nutrition Society of Australia (NSA), Australian Beauty Industry Council (ABIC) and International Association of Corneotherapy (IAC) and uses a holistic approach in treating difficult skin conditions and concerns. Accolades include Winner - Local Business Awards 2020, Winner in the Australia Small Business Champions Awards 2022 and Winner Australia Best Sole Operator Australian Beauty Industry Awards 2024. Sara is also a guest speaker presenting at various events including the Naturally Good Expo and Beauty Expo, ICC Sydney.

The numbers are in …. it’s been such a great opportunity to work with salons over the last 5 years and see where it has taken my business. It has prompted me to instigate so many changes from treatment menus, devices, energy provision, suppliers, packaging & salon resources. My clinic has reduced its carbon footprint and operates on renewable energy systems assisting me to reach my sustainable development goals.

Very excited that has been recognised for Excellence in Sustainability as one of 6 Finalists at the 2024 Business NSW awards for Sydney Metro Region. I was interested in entering these awards for the first time this year as it’s really insightful to see what larger corporations across different industries are doing in terms of reducing their carbon emissions as we head towards 2030. Thank you to Business NSW the peak policy and advocacy body which represents more than 50,000 businesses.
