Do you consider timing when it comes to improving your health? ⁠

Chronobiology is the study of living organisms and their physiological adaptation to solar-lunar related rhythms. These cycles are known as biological rhythms and can influence physical performance, recovery and can even the effectiveness of lifestyle interventions such as exercise and nutrition. ⁠ ⁠

Irregular eating patterns have been shown in multiple studies to increase energy intake, fasting cholesterol and peak insulin compared to those who follow a regular eating pattern.⁠ ⁠

Do as I say, not as I do….

I’ve been guilty of this over the last couple of months.

Whilst adapting to new life challenges I have been doing all work, parenting, work, parenting and not much connection or cup filling at all!!

The ‘just try harder’ approach, rather than making me more organised, just resulted in feelings of overwhelm, sadness or irritation

Exactly the opposite to what I recommend to others!

So this brunch this morning was exactly what I needed and as usual left me warm and fuzzy, ready to take on the work and parenting hats again.

Just a gentle reminder to those who read this far…often to get ahead you first need to slow down.

So much love for my beautiful praccie friends!

My Philosophy

Everyone has a different story and has traveled a different journey, so it is no wonder when it comes to wellness, we need personalised care. We should be treated with interventions that provoke the least harm and encourage the body’s innate ability to heal and that is why I love the power behind using food as medicine and supporting this with herbal medicine and nutritional supplementation.

It is so important as a Naturopath to look at the person as a whole, take in a full detailed health history, look at all of the supporting pathology and put all the pieces of a puzzle together to find the root cause of unwell. The patient should then be guided to gradual changes to ensure the healing is supported towards a new life of improved health through nourishing foods, improved mindfulness and meaningful movement. Wellness needs to become a series of new habits and as your Naturopath I will guide you to take the steps for a lasting change.
