| ๐ฆToday, May 9th is โDo It For Dolly Dayโ
๐ฆDolly's Dream was initiated by Kate and Tick Everett in response to the heart-wrenching loss of their 14-year-old daughter, Dolly, who suffered from relentless bullying. Kate and Tick's mission is to protect other families from this unbearable suffering.๐ฆ
๐ฆDolly Everett envisioned a world distinguished by kindness, where bullying was nonexistent. In early 2018, Australia was shaken by the heartbreaking loss of 14-year-old Dolly Everett, who fell victim to prolonged bullying and cyberbullying. Inspired by her memory and driven by hope, Dolly's parents launched an initiative aimed at creating a kinder, safer world for every child.๐ฆ
๐ฆWhat is โDollyโs Lawโ - Named after Dolly Everett, Dolly's Law serves as a crucial reminder to all technology users that cyberbullying has consequences. The laws encompass sending abusive emails, posting threatening or hurtful messages, photos or videos online, and repeatedly sending unwanted messages. Dolly's Law now serves as a warning to online abusers that if their actions cause individuals to fear physical or mental harm, they may face a maximum penalty of five years imprisonment๐ฆ
