If you’ve been struggling lately I am here to tell you, you’re not alone.
Not only myself but a lot of my clients have been expressing their frustrations too.. The bloating, the tiredness , the broken sleep, the irritability, the random sore knees, waking with sudden shouder pain out of no where, the creaking knees and ankles, need i say more 😩
First up.. relax and don’t be too hard on yourself we have just been through the social season and it’s ok that you’ve let things slip..
I always head into that season with a few non negotiables like..
3 weight training days a week
2 days of solid 10km walks - moderate pace
Load up on my protein in the morning + lunch and then what the afternoon brings so be it
2 litres of water a day.
Does it alwasy go to plan. No. Did i have good intentions Yes..
For the past 2 weeks I have been getting back into a semi regular routine, upped the exercise, scaled the food back walking more, more saunas etc
I have to tell you it’s frustrating not being able to “snap back” like I use to be able too
The hormones and early perimenopause has slowed things down.. it’s frustrating but I know that’s a contributor and work with my body instead of against it..
So I’ve buckled down and picked the pace up even though some days i cant see much progress (thank you hormonal shift)
I know the consistency will pay off and I will be back to feeling my absolute best real soon..
Moral to this story is
Instead of giving in to the “change” and excepting “this is how it will be from now on”
You keep grinding.
You keep working for it.
I dont mean hours of cardio 👉🏼 a structured plan of strength training & a few cardio days 👇🏽
You will be rewarded with a healthy STRONG body that’s going to carry you through life with ease..
Moving my body is the biggest stress relief.. 😅 it helps me release any frustrations and brings me back to “Zen”
👉 Exercise doesn’t take energy—it creates it.
The key is the right type, intensity, and consistency.
Highly recommend 😉
