To update for all of you who love Janet, please know that ALS is a monster of a disease. Janet continues to be the most amazing person on the planet with her never ending smile and optimism. However, ALS has greatly impacted her. Her speech is gone. She gets all nutrition from her feeding tube. Walking is very limited. She gets quite tired but nothing keeps her spirit down, even this horrid illness. She loves getting messages and texts from all of you. It truly lifts her heart. ❤️

Update — She’s home!

4❤️Janet Update — Yesterday was Janet’s birthday and she was celebrated at an amazing party. But… late last night, her feeding tube was accidentally removed and she’s back in the hospital. Hoping for a quick surgery and get our girl home. 🤞❤️ 🙏

4❤️Janet Update:
Tarrant County Family Law Christmas 🎄 Party — Janet was the Belle of the ball! She received a beatiful tribute from the Board and delivered the MOST amazing speech via her voice simulator. Not a dry eye in the house. ALS is a beast but our jubilant Janet rises above!!! Her joy and soul-piercing kindness sustain all those around her during her illness.

4❤️Janet Update — Looking at Janet’s smiling face would never tell you how much she’s going through. Her husband had a heart defibrillator last Monday (stress does terrible things). She’s finally getting some nutrients from her feeding tube (see 2nd photo). But make no mistake, ALS is a Monster. Her ability to speak is almost nonexistent now. She has an iPad-like device that allows her to type and it speaks. So her thoughts, love, and laughter still come through.

She is now limited to her downstairs. The bathroom remodel was recently completed. Your donations directly helped buy tile and fixtures. Charlie Stewart and Gary Caldwell really delivered and made it beautiful. This is the kind of thing that insurance does not cover. Your donations are making a big difference and are SO APPRECIATED!!!

At Janet's today, we were enjoying a lazy Sunday afternoon. She had a few words to share with everyone. She wanted me to edit out her fuzzy socks and make this perfect, but I think the video is perfect as is. She's so amazing.
