On December 3rd, communities across the world will join together in celebrating the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) — a day dedicated to honoring the autonomy, leadership, and zeal of people with disabilities, and to promoting their rights and well-being in every part of life: social, cultural, and spiritual.
Each year, this day invites us to look closely at how our communities can center disabled voices and leadership in building a more inclusive and sustainable future.
This year, the Faith Inclusion Network (FIN) is participating through a social media storytelling campaign that uplifts the voices of faith leaders, self-advocates, and allies across diverse faith traditions. Together, these short video reflections will show how inclusion and leadership by people with disabilities are not just possible, but integral to thriving faith communities.
