Patients and Carers,

The Practice will be closed this Easter long weekend, from Friday the 18th until Monday the 21st. We will resume full services on Tuesday the 22nd of April.

If you experience a serious health event during this time, please call 000 for an ambulance, or attend your local emergency room. For conditions which are urgent, but not life threatening, you should visit an Urgent Care Clinic - there are Clinics available in Campbelltown, Liverpool, and Gregory Hills, which are all bulk-billing services. If you need health advice, you can contact the 24 hour health advice service, Health Direct, on 1800 022 222.

We are very happy to announce that we have a new Doctor joining our Practice team.

Dr. Barbette Chanyungco graduated with a Doctor of Medicine from the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center in the Philippines in 2008. After spending a number of years gaining hospital experience in General Surgery, Psychiatry, Paediatrics, and Community Health, Dr. Chanyungco moved to Melbourne, Australia to continue her training with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, and to pursue her goal of specialising in rural and family medicine as a General Practitioner.

In addition to the above, Dr. Chanyungco has extensive experience in diagnosis and treatment planning, chronic disease management, and women and children's health.

Dr. Chanyungco will be starting at the Practice tomorrow, Tuesday the 30th of May. Her consulting days will be Tuesday and Thursday, from 9:30am until 5:30pm. If you would like to make an appointment to see Dr. Chanyungco, please ask one of our helpful reception staff.

At this stage, it is unlikely that we will be able to service your needs today - we apologise again for the inconvenience, and will contact you as soon as we are able to reschedule your appointment.

We have received an increase in our allocation of Pfizer vaccine, and now have a number of additional appointments available for our Saturday vaccination clinic. For anyone aged from 12-59 who would like to be vaccinated, please call the Practice on 46818171, or email one of our reception staff at thirlmeremedicalpractice@outlook.com.

If you require a priority appointment, please let us know, and we will do our very best to accommodate your needs.

Thirlmere Medical Practice is pleased to announce that we have partnered with 4Cyte pathology to provide a new collection service to our patients and our local community.

Pathology collectors will be on-site at the Practice Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 07:30 until 12:00. No bookings or appointments necessary! Please talk to one of our helpful reception staff should you require any further information.

After spending a number of years gaining hospital experience in General Surgery, Intensive Care, and Accident & Emergency, Dr. Riaz moved to regional NSW to continue her training with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, to pursue her goal of specialising in rural and family medicine as a General Practitioner. In addition to the above, Dr. Riaz has extensive experience in diagnosis and treatment planning, chronic disease management, and child health.

Dr. Riaz will be starting at the Practice on Monday the 10th of August. Her consulting days will be Monday and Wednesday, from 8:30am until 5:30pm. If you would like to make an appointment to see Dr. Riaz, please ask one of our helpful reception staff.

Dear Patients,

Thirlmere Medical Practice will continue to provide health services to the local community. Everyone coming to the practice will be screened prior to entry for the safety of our staff and community - Please call when you have arrived for your appointment.

We are currently offering telehealth services to our patients, where the doctors can do consultations over the phone. Some services still require patients to come into the practice such as vaccinations, dressings or other services where patients are required to be physically present.

The practice will remain open Monday to Friday between 8:30am – 6:00pm and can be reached on 4681 8171.

Stay safe & stay home as much as possible!
