Conscious Dance Noosa

At the moment there are no Conscious Dance Noosa events happening. Music and guidance will carry us through this journey. All of who you are is welcome.

Join our dance tribe

Conscious Dance is a practice using music and movement to find our essence as expressed through the body. If we tune in to how our body wants to move; in harmony with the dance, we encounter connection and meaning; love in all its guises. This is possible when we show up, let go, move and breathe; when we embrace the moment we are in without agenda or judgement. Dance is the exploration of movement as means of communication – mind to body and body to soul. Dancing consciously gives us the opportunity to feel what is going on right now in our body and to express what is. We build our community with a shared intention to be respectful. Come and join us to co-create this sacred space. Teachers: Katja Hofmann, NeLi Martin, Angela Kapudija and Rochelle Adam....

Katja is a passionate Azul Conscious Movement teacher and Family & Systemic Constellation facilitator. After a corporate career in Human Resources years ago, she gained further qualifications in counselling practices in order to work with people in a more supportive way. She shares her passion in monthly Azul classes in the Noosa area and holds Family Constellation workshops with movement exploration.

“I am passionate about dance as a path of self-discovery, healing and integration. I discovered conscious dance for me as THE healing power. I found my sanctuary and a place of healing. It’s my dance."....

NeLi, a psychologist, yoga and meditation teacher, has been a 5 Rhythms dance practitioner since 2000. She has been teaching yoga since 1998 and mindfulness meditation since 2005. Embodied Freedom Yoga Dance leads us into meditative awareness, planting seeds of intention, exploring breath, structured and fluid movements of yoga that journey beneath the surface of the mind. The focus is on how it viscerally feels, less about the form of postures. Music helps us transition into free movement, moving from the inside out, expressing our essential selves. A shared journey into rhythmically induced meditation.
“The first time I taught Embodied Freedom Yoga Dance, one of the dancers told me that he had never felt so much joy and freedom in his life. He used to wonder at people dancing wildly at festivals, assuming they were all on drugs. Now he finds his own embodied freedom through movement in time to rhythm; it’s called dance.” ;-)...

Sometimes we dance to forget, sometimes to remember.
Sometimes the dont give a f**k dance of surrender, followed by the give myself love tender.
We dance in joy, sometimes in sadness.
We dance in peace, as well as in madness.
We dance to connect, and to feel alive.
We free dance to just be who we wana be.

This Saturday May 13th at Yandina Arts Hall, 6pm start, i invite you to come dance your dance, not the monkey see monkey do kinda dance, not the one step two step follow me dance, but the free form dance that brings you alive, back into your body, the courageous, power dance like you dont give a F what anybody thinks dance cause your too in the moment having fun to think dance.
Nice gentle warm up to start, progressing to a hot rhythmic heart pumping peak, then a nice come down.
No booze, no shoes, no phones. Just a whole lotta fun with a awsome community of conscious movers and groovers.
Your all welcome as you are, hearbroken, happy, joyful, grieving, energetic or tired, all is welcome here.

Dearest Dancing Community on the Sunshine Coast...

Im sporting a cheeky lil smile today because in a few days its Conscious Dance night and i am so excited for our journey this Saturday.
I have an amazing, soulful, tribal, new world playlist ready for us to move, groove, stomp, shake and have fun to.
For those joining us for the first time, i welcome you to come with curiosity, a open mind, a willingness to have fun, and to be moved by the music in joyful ways that will transcend the mind.

Dancing Freedom uses the 5 elements to explore movement (earth-grounding, water-flowing, fire- releasing, air-opening, eather-being).

No booze, no shoes, just your authentic moves and pumping tunes.

Its meditative, escatic, therapeutic, fun and a powerful healing modility.
