Dalby Clients, good news I will be back fortnightly treating on a Tuesday.

To all my amazing Dalby Clients, just letting everyone know that for the time being acupuncture treatments won't be happening with me in Dalby, until I can secure a new treatment space.

The style of acupuncture I use is Kiiko Matsumoto.

I was fortunate enough to watch her work, and get a treatment from Sensei Kiiko. Listening to her and watching her work was amazing and inspiring and made me love her style even more.
Such a beautiful, fascinating lady and the way she works and understands the body, I feel very lucky to have the opportunity to learn from her.

I had a client ask me the other day, what type of people do you see mostly, my initial response wsas.. 'awesome ones' ;o), but after giving it a lot of thought I realised a lot of my clients work in the health industry.

Acupuncture helps the flow happen in the body, if you think of the meridians (that flow throughout the body) has tiny tubes of energy, Qi and blood running through them. When there is a blockage or stagnation - they swell and pain occurs. The needles work as a signal for the body as to where to focus and they help release the blockages. Encouraging the body to heal itself.

People often are Intimidated by the thought of Acupuncture and needles. But one of the most common things I hear on the table, is "I'm so relaxed" - which is music to my ears!

As an acupuncturist I find that scar treatments can make such major changes in the body. These treatments are gentle, no needles go near the site of the trauma. Having this type of treatment performed on myself and a scar made me change my path of treating (While I'm trained in both Chinese and Japanese styles - the Japanese style is so much more gentle and as affective).

People often ask, what is the difference between TCM (Traditional Chinese Acupuncture) and the style I use, - Japanese, specifically Kiiko style.
While I am trained in both forms, I find the Japanese style, much more effective and gentler.
