Well what can i say another KO weekend done and dusted for the 16th time, feeling it today.

Just want to thank all our wonderful volunteers, all our Warriors Old Boys, Newtown juniors and seniors, all our ball kids, referees without you all the carnival would not happen.

To all the family members that we continually call onto help out we appreciate you all so much - clean up day is fun... NOT !!

Thank you to all the teams organisers, players and supporters I believe this year was the largest so far and without your continued support we would not be able to continue with carnivals.

Thanks to all the community for continuing to turn up to catch up with family and friends from far and wide

Lastly to any injured players from the carnival we wish you a speedy recovery especially Greg from Dirran team who sustained a hip fracture we hope you are back on your feet and maybe not on the field to quickly but one day

We will continue to support our kids by taking teams away to QMC in September and this year possibly some teams in for touch and softball

Due to the unfortunate amount of Sorry Business our people have experienced in the last few months The Mura Biri Gururu Aboriginal Dancers are offering a Community Smoking Ceremony for everyone to come along and cleanse your Internal and External selves. We think it is very important for everyone to come along and be a part of these ceremonies. We must always look after our Body, Mind and Spirit and this is a perfect way to help with that. After the amount of Sorry Business that is still continuing in our communities we will be conducting these smoking ceremonies in the following week before the upcoming Toowoomba Warriors Annual Knockout Carnival so that we are all refreshed and ready for a positive gathering for our mobs!

PLEASE NOTE! These are not funded events and will not be catered for it is simply a ceremony that will take a few minutes for individual families.

Also all Community will be welcome to participate in these ceremonies. So please share around with community and we hope to see you and your families on these days.
