I’m not falling apart…
I’m recalibrating.

Perimenopause.
Hashimoto’s.
Almost 40.
Post-hysterectomy.

My nervous system doesn’t respond to hustle anymore.
It responds to safety.

So here’s what I’m doing right now 👇🏼

🩵 1. Eating simply and intentionally
Protein. Fibre. Good fats.
Not complicated. Not extreme.
Just giving my body what it needs to feel steady.
Balanced blood sugar has changed everything for my mood and calm.

🩵 2. Moving with intention
Slow dumbbells… because strength protects our hormones, our bones and our future.
Pilates… because the calm it gives me is unmatched.
Night treadmill walks… because gentle rhythm settles my thoughts.
And 2 to 3 full rest days each week. On purpose. No guilt.
Rest is not a reward. It’s regulation.

🩵 3. Quitting the rush
Externally… and internally.
When I’m doing a task, I do just that task. Slowly.
I breathe deeper.
I soften my jaw.
I remind myself… there is no emergency. I am safe.

I’m not behind.
I’m not broken.
My body just needs leadership that feels safe.

This season is less push… more presence.
Less pressure… more power.

🥥 Creamy Coconut Chicken Curry
Comforting. Family-friendly. Weeknight magic.

Serves 4

You’ll need
✨ 800 g chicken thigh or breast, sliced
✨ 1 tbsp coconut oil or olive oil
✨ 2 tbsp mild curry paste
✨ 2 x 400 ml cans coconut cream
✨ 2 kaffir lime leaves … optional but divine
✨ 600 to 700 g mixed vegetables
Pumpkin, green beans, spinach, broccoli … whatever you have on hand
✨ Juice of 1 lime
✨ 1 to 2 tsp fish sauce … optional, to taste

To serve
🍚 2 cups cooked rice … especially handy for little ones

Method

🥄 Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add curry paste and cook for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant.

🍗 Add chicken and cook until lightly browned.

🥥 Pour in coconut cream and add kaffir lime leaves. Bring to a gentle simmer.

🥦 Add your vegetables and cook until tender and the chicken is cooked through.

🍋 Finish with lime juice and fish sauce to taste. Remove lime leaves before serving.

Spoon over rice or enjoy as is if you’re keeping it lighter.

It’s creamy without being heavy, flavourful without being spicy, and one of those meals that feels like a hug in a bowl.

I haven’t felt fully myself since the new year rolled over.

Not in a dramatic way … just quietly off.
A little heavier in my body.
A little bloated.
A little out of rhythm.

Instead of turning that into guilt or “I’ll start on Monday” energy,
I chose me again 🌸

For the last few weeks I’ve been leaning into our 14 Day Body Reset.
Not to fix myself … but to come home to myself.

It’s simple.
It’s feminine.
It’s supportive.

No dieting.
No perfection.
Just structure, nourishment, and daily actions that actually feel good in your body.

I’m resetting my nervous system.
Rebuilding gentle routines.

Kids back at school today.

And honestly… I’m a bit sad.

I love slow mornings with them home.
The noise.
The chaos.
The constant “Mum” while I’m mid-thought.

I’m not wired to rush them out the door and reclaim my life.
I actually love when they’re here.

But today… I’ll borrow the quiet.
Not to hustle.
Not to prove anything.
Just to let my brain stretch out again.

So this is me.
Missing my kids.
Using the stillness anyway.
Letting both things be true.
