💖 My heart is absolutely melting! I just received the most wonderful message from one of my young participant's mum, along with a photo of her homework sheet. When asked about her hobbies, this amazing young lady wrote "makeing games with Dan" - and I'm just so incredibly proud and touched! 🎮✨

Watching her confidence grow as she builds her own games in Roblox has been one of the highlights of my work. These moments remind me exactly why I love what I do - supporting young people to explore their passions, develop new skills, and express their creativity.

Minecraft gets talked about a lot – and when you use it thoughtfully, it can be an incredible tool for growth.
In Creative mode, players get to build whole worlds from their imagination, practising planning, problem-solving and collaboration along the way.

And in Education mode, there are so many opportunities for learning skills like coding and logical thinking – all in a way that feels playful and low-pressure.

In my support work, I use games like Minecraft to help people stretch their creativity, build confidence and have fun doing it.

Playing with Lego is amazing for so many reasons, but today I wanna highlight two.
First – inventing something from scratch is super imaginative, and often sparks loads of communication and expectation management along the way.
Second – following instructions to build something is almost meditative. It gives a calming sense of focus, step by step.

This record player build is a great example. Someone was feeling really stressed and dysregulated – but by the end of the build, they were much calmer and more settled.

The support work I offer is all about play, imagination and creativity, helping people grow and do the things they wanna do.

A scene from a recent D&D game. My peep got right into the role-playing – they stuck up for their interests when dealing with a jerk, and almost one-hit killed an orc who was trying to eat her pet rat. So awesome to see them being more assertive!
