Just two Rebels out with a pair of Street Triples today - Toowoomba to Esk and back. 😎

Perfect autumn weather, the road was dry and I’m stoked with my progress with counter steering, looking through the corners to the exit, and chasing the vanishing point. Feeling much more relaxed in the saddle and gentle on the handlebars; the coaching and practice is all coming together. Riding really is exhilarating!!! 🤩💃🙌

It was a day for riding through sunshine, light rain showers and at Ravensbourne, we literally rode through the clouds. ⛅️

Wet roads after the rain meant I had to quell the nerves heading back up the range. Wet, slippery and only a month since someone special in my life took a nasty spill in the twisties. Thankfully their physical injuries have now healed but alas, no crotch rocket for the moment. 💚

Their bikes: thunder, rumble, delightful chaos.
My little Rebel: “...is it on?” 😂

Riot (Honda Rebel CMX500) and I hit the road with these big kids last Sunday 🏍️ 1 x Triumph Thunderbird and 3 x Harley-Davidson Softails. Oh swoon indeed. 🫠

Still smiling all the way from Toowoomba > Hampton > Esk > Toogoolawah > Moore (☕️Sidestand Cafe) > Blackbutt > Crows Nest and back to Toowoomba. Left Toowoomba at 6.30am and back home by 1pm. 🤩 My longest day out so far and yep, I woke up with tender legs on Monday. 🙃🤣

Rode well but there were a couple of curves I took just a little wide within my lane. 😩 It’s incredible how in those moments time appears to slow down so completely and every pebble, bump, twig, leaf, paint speck and colour/texture variation of the road - the section where you DO NOT want to go - is so clearly visible. 😳🙄🥴 The battle to ‘look where you want to go’ in that moment is a very real challenge but thankfully those moments are few.

When target fixation creeps in… it’s real and it’s scary. I catch myself wanting to look where I don’t want to go, and I have to actively pull it back with
‘look through, look through… lean into the curve… chin up… let the bike follow.’ Still learning, still growing… but wow, that pull to look down at the road is HUGE. 🫣

However, six months into this adventure now and there are way, way more thrills than spills. 🙌
