We had so much fun during our playground session. Our focus was on developing confidence in the playground, learning new gross motor skills, following instructions, sharing space with peers, taking turns and encouraging each other.

Easter is just around the corner. This is a perfect time to make the most of motivating activities for the kids to develop new skills without specific therapy time!
Hunting for easter eggs provides so many opportunities for kids to practise their:
* balance, co-ordination, core muscles
* gross motor skills, e.g. climbing, jumping
* fine motor skills and hand strength and control
* communication skills, e.g. colours, size, location words
* trunk and shoulder strength, e.g. reaching up high
* sharing space with other children and negotiating roles....

I had a wonderful time presenting a Basic Key Word Sign workshop over 2 half days last week. The Learning Support team were so enthusiastic and engaged, we had a lot of fun learning together! Hoping you can use your new- found skills in many communicative environments, enhancing your students engagement, understanding and helping them to use signs to express themselves with their peers.
