So this was a very sweet moment that happened during our session.

Our beautiful little star uses a PODD book to communicate as well as communicates verbally. In our session, she utilised her PODD book upside down to navigate to the page she wanted (back page -> activities (8) -> playdoh -> animals (20a) she wanted to make -> fish). To do this sequence I was incredibly impressed but also loved that she was able to include me in the conversation by turning the book around for me to see easily and told me exactly what she wanted!

Sessions like this you can not help but make you smile and BEAM with pride 🤩 I can guarantee her Speech Therapist is just as excited as I was!

A couple of superstars in this pic!! 💙

And she doesn’t know I’m posting this… but as a born and bred Tasmanian, I can tell you I’ve struggled just driving up Mount Wellington!! So seeing Simone run the Point to Pinnacle (the world’s toughest half marathon!!) absolutely blew me away. ⛰️🏃‍♀️

She powered her way to the top, all while raising much needed funds for brain cancer research, a truly worthy cause. From supporting our little stars all week at Therapy and Beyond to taking on challenges like this… Amazing 💙✨
