In this session, what started as an innocent game of memory using Star Wars cards, turned into a full lesson and movie breakdown for Simone from our little star and their support worker. Simone isn’t the biggest fan of Star Wars (I know I’m sorry, I’ll give it a chance!) but what Simone loved the most was her little star used an analogy from a Disney movie (How to Train your Dragon) to help Simone to understand the power in which a character possessed.

Understanding of Star wars ✅

Simone finding out who Darth Vader really is 😳 😮(Shocked, and may not recover!) 😂

Making children laugh and find joy at this time of year feels pretty magical…and we believe the world could always use a little more of that 🌟

Well, firstly… the elf just showed up. No warning. No consultation.

But if a little mischief, movement, and surprise brings smiles, sparks curiosity, and fills the clinic with giggles, then we’re absolutely on board!!

Today’s session was a heap of fun! A tea party with friends (teddy included) might look like simple play… but there’s so much happening beneath the surface. 🧸✨

Pretend play builds language, social skills, emotional understanding, fine motor strength, and imagination all wrapped up in joyful moments just like this.
