Disability Support Worker โ€“ Multiple Positions Available (Male/Female)

Location: Stanhope Gardens, NSW and nearby suburbs
Start Date: Immediate Start
Employment Type: Full-time (Mondayโ€“Friday, 8:00 AM โ€“ 8:00 PM) + On-call Weekends

About the Role

Nexus Ability Care is seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to assist our independent participants living in Stanhope Gardens and surrounding areas.
The participant has two friendly dogs, so applicants must be comfortable working around pets.

This position offers full-time hours, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend on-call shifts. Weโ€™re looking for individuals who can begin immediately and are passionate about providing meaningful, person-centred support.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality daily living assistance in the participantโ€™s home and within the community.

Support participants to achieve their personal goals and maintain independence.

Assist with community engagement, including transport to activities and appointments.

Encourage skill development, social inclusion, and positive behaviours.

Deliver tailored activities that promote physical, emotional, and social wellbeing.

Maintain accurate records and complete administrative duties promptly.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate empathy, initiative, and a strong commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities.

Essential Requirements:

At least 1 year of experience in disability or community support

Certificate IV in Disability (or equivalent qualification)

NDIS Worker Screening Check

Working With Children Check

First Aid and CPR certification

Current Australian Driverโ€™s Licence and reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance

Eligibility to work in Australia

Two contactable professional references

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Participant Preference:
Due to specific participant needs, we are currently seeking male applicants for this role.
