There’s a big difference between being in a room with reformers…and being in a room where someone is actually watching how you move.

At Tugun, Reformer classes are capped at 6.

That means:
We can see when your hips are shifting.
We can adjust your foot placement.
We can modify, if your shoulder isn’t loving something.

A lot of our clients come to us after trying larger classes and say,
“I wasn’t sure if I was doing it right.”

There’s a reason semi-private exists at Tugun.
It’s not a watered-down private.
And it’s not just a smaller group class.

It sits in the middle, intentionally.
Sometimes someone walks in and says:
“I’ve got a shoulder that doesn’t love overhead work.”
“My hips have been tight since my last training block.”
“I don’t feel confident in a full class yet.”
“I want correction, but I don’t need one-on-one every week.”

That’s where a semi-private works best.
Capped at three.
Enough space to move.
Enough attention to adjust.

You’re not guessing whether you’re in the right position.

– are rebuilding strength

Cornerstone has more variety.
Mat Pilates.
Barre.
Power Flow.
Yin.

– want mobility and strength

A lot of people assume Mat is the gentler option.
Sometimes it is.
Sometimes it absolutely isn’t.

The difference with Mat Pilates at Cornerstone is that you don’t have springs assisting or resisting you.

It’s you, your body weight, and control.
Which means alignment matters.

In some sessions, we slow it right down:
Small range.
Precise positioning.
Breath-led control.
Quality over quantity.
You’ll feel muscles working that you didn’t know were meant to.

Other sessions build more heat:
Longer sequences.
Layered progressions.
Endurance through the core and lower body.
But even then, it’s not about speed for the sake of it.

We use props deliberately:
Magic circles to challenge inner thigh stability.
Bands to build resistance through glutes.
Rollers to test balance and spinal control.
Blocks to improve positioning.

Mat isn’t easier than Reformer.
It’s just a different kind of honest.

We’ll usually ask before class:
How are you feeling? Anything we’re working around?

Maybe your body needs more attention than a standard class allows.
Maybe you don’t want the cost of a private, but you do want personalised support.

With a maximum of 3 people, semi-private sessions sit in that sweet spot.
You’re not alone in the room, but you’re still guided, corrected, and supported the whole way through.

These sessions run midday at Tugun and are ideal if you’re rebuilding strength or confidence.

Studio Pilates at Tugun isn’t about smashing reps or racing the person next to you.
Classes are capped at 6 people, so we can actually see you move and help you move better.

Every session starts the same way:
How are you going? Anything you’re working around?
From there, exercises are adjusted to suit your body on the day. Strength where you need it. Stretch where you’re tight. Corrections when they matter.

This is Pilates for people who want to feel strong, supported and confident in their bodies, especially if you’ve had injuries or time off movement.
