Honestly, this is my favorite workshop to run. 🤍

As a mum, I know how hard it is to compete with screens for my daughters’ attention. Conversations get shorter, and sometimes you just want to be together without forced small talk.

I created the Sound Bonding Workshop to help parents and tweens reconnect through sound - no words required.

In 3.5 hours, you’ll:

Get hands-on: Learn to use singing bowls and tuning forks together.

De-stress: Take home practical tools for everyday calm.

Let go: Finish with a blissful 45-minute sound bath.

Swap the digital noise for a deep, quiet connection.

Sunday, 22 Feb | 1:30 pm – 5:00 pm (Ages 10-15)

Spots are limited. Click the link in my bio to join us.

February is usually the month where the “New Year” shine wears off and the reality of the routine kicks in. Whether you’re looking to reconnect with your family, a loved one, or just your own internal compass, I’ve cleared the space for you.

Here is what’s happening at Sound Journey this month:

✨ Sun 22 Feb | Parent & Child Sound Bonding
A space for you and your tweensger (ages 10-15) to actually slow down together. Learn practical stress-relief techniques while deepening your connection through sound.

❤️ Sat, 14/2 | Valentine’s Special Sound Bath

Forget the chocolate; give the gift of presence. A restorative session designed to deepen your connection to yourself or a partner.

🎯 Sat 28 Feb | The Goal Reset & Readiness Workshop
The “Back-to-School” blur is real. Join Emma (NTT Master Practitioner) and myself for a 3-hour intensive to clear the mental noise. We move out of survival mode and into actual readiness for the months ahead.

Ready to find your groove? Head to the link in the bio to see full details and grab your spot.

I’ve been chatting with some of you lately about the difference between being "broken" vs "out of tune," and it made me realise we often try to 'think' our way out of stress, treating ourselves like machines that need fixing.

I wrote a new article exploring why this doesn't work - and why we need to start treating ourselves like instruments instead:

We tend to treat our exhaustion like a mechanical failure, thinking we need to be "fixed." But the body is musical, not mechanical. Your nervous system speaks in frequency. In this article, we explore why you don't need fixing - you simply need to be re-tuned, and how simple tools like tuning forks....

20/01/2026

Most of us spend our days managing noise, pressure, decisions, and constant input. Over time, the system doesn’t fail – it just loses its natural rhythm and tune (just like a guitar that’s been over used).

The thing is we can’t just “talk” it back into harmony. The language of the nervous system isn’t words or logic, it is frequency.
Bio-electricity is the currency of the body, and vibration is how it communicates. You are not broken. You are simply out of coherence.

When we view chronic stress and overwhelm as a “frequency distortion” rather than a personal failure, the solution changes.

You don’t need to be fixed. Just like this Monochord, you simply need to be re-tuned.

We spend so much of our lives zoomed in. When your focus is locked on small screens and tiny details, your world physically & mentally shrinks. That’s when the detachment creeps in - we forget we’re part of a whole.

This view isn’t just pretty; it’s medicine. 🌿
Why you need it:

1. The Physical: Looking at a distance forces your ciliary muscles (the ones that focus your eyes) to finally relax, breaking the strain of the screen stare. This also naturally encourages you to blink more, which replenishes the tear film, cleans the eye surface, and reduces the gritty, burning sensation of dry eyes.

2. The Mental: It shifts you from “tunnel vision” to “panorama.” It reminds your brain that there is a bigger picture, and you are right here in the middle of it.

How to take your medicine:

1. Find the furthest point: Don’t just look “outside”-look at the horizon line, waves or the clouds.

2. Use “Soft Eyes”: Let your focus go slightly blurry. Don’t try to analyze what you see; just let the light and colors in.

3. The Guideline: Experts suggest the “20-20-20 rule” (every 20 mins, look 20 feet away for 20 seconds). That’s the “official” recommendation, but honestly? Just do it whenever you remember. Even a few seconds helps reset the system.

Thank you for providing the perfect place to heal my eyes and my head.

What a way to kick off 2026! ✨🥒 🎶
We had so much fun facilitating the Rest & Digest workshop yesterday. From getting hands-on with the ‘real dill’ fermented pickles to exploring brand new flavours, it was the perfect mix of learning, connecting and resting.
We wrapped it all up with a beautiful relaxing sound bath to let everything settle.
Huge thanks to everyone who joined us for this healthy gut reset.
Feeling grounded, grateful, and ready for the year ahead!

No fancy setup, no long routines. Just 1-2 mins with a singing bowl can help you regulate your nervous system, ground you and bring you back to yourself.
It’s that easy.

This trip was planned as a family getaway – a way to mark the end of the school year and spend time together.

But this week’s events shifted the way we enjoyed it.
Being away from the noise and surrounded by nature gave us the space to slow down, be present, and appreciate what we have.
Bringing my instruments was more than called for this time.

Thank you for making that possible – such a simple, thoughtful, yet luxurious space, surrounded by serene nature, and set in the heart of the Hunter Valley. We couldn’t have asked for more.

I’m deeply grateful for the support and love I felt from our community during this time.

Sounds from this place to follow in the next couple of days.

You don’t have to sit in a quiet room and meditate to calm your nervous system.

You can do this anywhere - in the car, in the shower, or even on a scary, rocky boat ride (don’t ask me how I know 😉).

If you can talk, you can hum. And if you can hum, you have a built-in tool to regulate your stress instantly.

In my last reel, I showed you how to do it. Here are 5 Scientific Reasons why it works:

1. Vagal Stimulation- Your vocal cords sit directly next to the Vagus Nerve. Vibration mechanically stimulates the nerve, signaling “safety” to your brain.

2. Nitric Oxide Boost: Humming increases nasal nitric oxide by 15-fold! This helps increase blood flow and oxygen efficiency.

3. Extends the Exhale: You can’t hum while inhaling. Humming forces a long, slow exhale, which directly signals the body to relax.

4. Internal Massage: The vibration loosens tight fascia and tissues in the throat and chest that hold tension.

5. Pattern Interrupt: The physical sensation of vibration forces your brain to focus on the body instead of racing thoughts.

Try it right now: Close your eyes. Hum for 3 breath cycles. Notice the shift?

Save this list for your next “rocky boat” moment - whether literal or metaphorical. 📌

Instagram vs. Reality

It looks so peaceful in the video…
but last night’s outdoor sound bath was full of challenges to overcome.

Between gusting winds, dogs running around (one even stole my drum mallet 🙃), and a helicopter hovering overhead (twice!), it was harder than usual to stay calm and centered.

So no, it wasn’t the most “relaxing” or “deep” sound bath I’ve ever held, but it taught me so much:

✨ Acceptance – letting go of control when things don’t go as planned.

✨ Adaptability – changing direction gracefully, again and again.

✨ Consistency – showing up fully, even when I really wanted to give up.

✨ And respect for Mother Nature – who clearly wasn’t a fan of my gong yesterday (she knocked it down. repeatedly).

But above all, it reminded me of the power of community and stillness - because even with all the chaos, people still found a way to relax, laugh, and enjoy the simple things: the sunset, good company, healthy snacks, and those brief moments of sound-led stillness.

Thank you for letting me facilitate this beautifully imperfect event. 🌿🌅

TL;DR

I’m fighting off the self-doubt voices and launching a new Facebook group called The Resonance Circle.
This circle was created for those who want more than quick updates or event reminders - a place to go deeper, explore, and connect between sound bath sessions and beyond. It’s a supportive space to share experiences, ask questions, and follow your curiosity.

Nothing is too small, too big, or too woo-woo to bring into this circle - all questions and reflections are welcome.
