What your body needs each morning changes day to day, season to season, year to year. We all carry a different constitution so our medicines will look different. How do we know what we need? We train our internal ears - our ability to listen to the language of our bodies, the interception, the subtle cues ~ and learn the difference between balanced and imbalanced cravings.

There are no "x is good for y". There is no "one size fits all". Everything is changing. My passion is to learn my own language and help others to do the same

Forever in awe of “muscle memory”…whatever that is…wherever it lives. It is astounding to feel the speed at which old movement patterns can come back. And here we are in the Maldives after not having touched this hoop for nearly 2 years.
What do we all think muscle memory is? I have a sneaking suspicion our fascia has something to do with it ;)

One day I was doing this at a bus stop in Sydney. There was a man standing near me seeming to not take notice. Then he disappeared behind the bus stop. I took a peek back there and caught him trying it out in secret, stopping as soon as I looked. Bless you Mr stranger, my your intertarsals become as strong as an ox 🐂

My self-appointed ‘job’ is to help others remember what it feels like to truly inhabit their bodies. It’s an ongoing practice (especially when we have so many forces that work to disconnect and distract) and I have to relearn how to do it for myself every day. It’s incredible what 4 days outdoors with movement, good food and good water can do ~ The effects of which can last long after we part ways. I am still in awe of these humans and am so charged and ready to share more deep dive immersions into my collection of movement medicines.

This one goes out to all my noodle kin who want to feel strong and trusting in upper body work especially weight bearing, hanging and dynamic activities like throwing. The trusty old Theraband is an amazing tool to allow the smaller muscles of the shoulder/ rotator cuff/ upper body the information to re-pattern how they work - who needs to turn on & who doesn’t. Every time I have had shoulder issues, I return to a basic shoulder conditioning routine and it makes a world of difference. You don’t need all the equipment in this video, even if you just had one light theraband that you tied to suit the size for the exercise it will do the trick.

Follow this through once to activate or repeat up to 3 or 4 times for conditioning. 10 x per exercise each side. Do this several times per week and before unconventional movement training like aerials, ball-sports or acrobatics. Let’s bulletproof our shoulders!

This 4-day workshop is for the monkeys thirsting for a program full of somatic exploration, as well as those kindred spirits needing a spark of inspiration to get back into their bodies and onto the land. This immersion is teaming with movement practices that cross functional calisthenics, elemental yoga, contemporary movement flow, inversions, and bodywork held together with Chinese Medicine and Ayurvedic principles.
