We were delighted to deliver an Advanced Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT) training for the dedicated clinicians at Grand Pacific Health.
Building on foundational TF-CBT knowledge, this advanced workshop focused on the nuances of delivering TF-CBT with complex presentations. We explored strategies for maintaining fidelity while adapting the model to meet the real-world needs of children, adolescents, and their families.

It was a privilege to work with such a passionate and skilled group of practitioners committed to providing evidence-based, trauma-informed treatment. The depth of clinical insight and commitment to reflective practice made for incredibly rich discussion and learning.

Thank you to Grand Pacific Health for prioritising high-quality trauma treatment for children and adolescents and for inviting us to support your team’s professional development.

In March, TFCBT Australia | Psychology Training and Supervision had the privilege of presenting at the Through Children’s Eyes: Changing the Family and Domestic Violence Story Conference in Campbelltown.

This important national event brought together professionals, advocates, and community leaders committed to shifting the narrative for children impacted by family and domestic violence. The focus on child-centred, trauma-informed responses deeply aligned with our mission at TFCBT Australia | Psychology Training and Supervision.

We were honoured to present on Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT) and its application in supporting children and families impacted by domestic and family violence. Our session explored how TF-CBT provides a structured, evidence-based framework for helping children process trauma, build resilience, and begin to heal in the context of safe, supportive caregiving relationships.

From inspiring keynote speakers to powerful breakout sessions, the day was a timely reminder of the importance of centring children’s voices and experiences—and the urgent need for systems that prioritise their safety, wellbeing, and long-term recovery.

A big thank you to the team at Sector Connector for hosting such a meaningful and impactful event. We were proud to be a part of it and look forward to continuing these important conversations.

- The case studies, role plays and examples were so helpful in consolidating my learning
- It was very well paced with about the right amount of detail and depth. I love the structure of the Mountain, and the flexibility of the program. I am confident I will try to implement TF-CBT.

🎉 Last month, TFCBT Australia | Psychology Training and Supervision proudly celebrates its 4th birthday!

Over the past four years, we’ve had the privilege of working alongside clinicians, services, and communities to strengthen trauma-informed practice across Australia, New Zealand, Ukraine and beyond. Since we began, we’ve trained over 560 clinicians in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), with more than 300 professionals participating in our online webinar. We’ve continued to support a wide range of government and non-government agencies to embed TF-CBT into their services, and we’re increasingly involved in research to further strengthen the evidence base for trauma-focused care.

Through Psychology Training and Supervision, we’ve had the honour of supervising clinicians at every stage of their journey, from provisional psychologists to senior practitioners, supporting them to deliver best-practice.

One of the most meaningful parts of our work this past year has been our ongoing collaboration with psychologists in Ukraine. We trained Ukrainian clinicians in TF-CBT and continue to provide them with support as they deliver this model to children, adolescents, and families living in active war zones. Supporting such dedicated professionals under extraordinary circumstances has been both humbling and inspiring.

We are deeply grateful for the support, trust, and encouragement we’ve received over the past four years. Thank you for being part of our journey. Here’s to another year of learning, growth, and making a difference. 💙
