This post gave me chills.
It speaks to what so many of us feel but often canāt put into words:
That the body remembers what the mind tries to forget or suppress.
I see this in my clients all the time ā
When weāve had to hide parts of ourselvesā¦
When weāve learned to stay small to feel safeā¦
It doesnāt just disappear ā it settles in our spine, our tissues, our breath.
Thatās why I do what I do.
Because Spinal Flow helps your body gently let go of whatās been held for far too long.
Not by force, but by creating safety.
So you can come home to the real you.
You are worthy of living fully expressed.
And your nervous system knows the way back.
Thank you for sharing Spinal Flow with Melissa
A long time friend started Spinal Flow with me over 4 months ago. When she first came she asked "Why would I come? I don't have anything wrong with me? How would I benefit?" She's in her 70's and lost her lifelong female partner a few years ago suddenly. I knew they were from a generation that wasn't as accepting and open as today. She never talked about being gay to family or friends. As we've been doing sessions I've noticed lately things have been reacting in her body. Today, I told her why and we had a heartfelt honest conversation about how suppressing who you truly are has deep affects on our body and well being. Education is key. She thanked me for opening this conversation she never felt safe to have before.
When you suppress who you truly are⦠your body remembers.
Years of hiding your truthā¦
Fitting in. Playing small.
Dismissing your needs. Silencing your voice.
It doesnāt just disappear ā it gets stored.
In your tissues. Your spine. Your nervous system.
This emotional suppression becomes trapped energyā¦
š„ Leading to chronic tension
š„ Unexplained pain
š„ Anxiety
š„ Shutdown
š„ Or a constant āon edgeā feeling you canāt shake.
Your nervous system was never designed to hold back your soulās expression.
It longs to feel safe⦠free⦠aligned.
Through Spinal Flow, we gently unwind those old stories from your spine ā
So your body can release the past
And you can return to who you were always meant to be.
⨠Owning the real you is essential to your ultimate well-being.
