This piece written from one of my teachers and mentors captures sacred space and discernment beautifully
A powerful share on SACRED BLASPHEMY written by the Empress creator Sharon Bolt Shamanic Energy Training
âIt has become popular now to tag the word âsacredâ in front of anything that is provocative, considered shameful, taboo or may cause offence. Not sure why this is the case. If you are really comfortable with what you are doing then why does it need to be considered âsacredâ...
First letâs get one thing straight, I do not have a problem with s*xual expression and what people do with it in their physical spaces and online. Each to their own.
Where this is an issue is when the word âsacredâ is added to describe the training eg âsacred w***e programme". A lot of soft p**n programmes are using the word âsacredâ and throwing in words like âpriestess initiationâ, âspirit trainingâ and even âshamanismâ?!
Why? Because s*x sells and if we throw in spirit it will sell more? Why not just call it what it is - "Soft P**n Training?"
The issue here is that s*xual energy must ideally be mastered first before it can be mixed with spiritual energy.
In my Taoist training, we went through a process of 3 years of celibacy to master s*xual energy before we were allowed to engage in ta***ic practices.
If you play with s*xual fire and then throw in spirit and you donât know what you are doing and have zero discernment, you are likely to eventually burn the house down. I know itâs tempting to do this for facilitators because when you mix s*xual energies with lower dimensional beings, participants get an adrenal high and will claim your space is powerful. The energy of both can be very addictive. However, it is irresponsible to mix both in beginner trainings if you haven't had adequate training in both yourself.
Is there a space for s*xual energy in magic and witchcraft work?
Absolutely! But I encourage you to join a coven or get training for at least 3 years if this is really your thing. If you want to mix shamanism and ta**ra then consider studying both for a minimum of 10 years. This way you have achieved a certain level of mastery and can safely guide initiates through a mix of both.
The use of the word sacred to describe soft p**n is also not considerate to the many lineages that have suffered over millennia to maintain their sacred practices intact. They have been persecuted and murdered for their craft to now see it mocked with misuse of s*xual energy. I once attended a festival where the medicine wheel was opened with or***ms by the facilitators. The ancestral rage within me was unlike anything I have ever experienced before.
The space was laden with entities and I had to leave and clear myself. The hundreds of participants had no idea what was going on, they were unaware of the energetic harvest taking place. I have attended hundreds of ceremonies by genuine lineage keepers and have never ever seen them use or****ic energy to open a space or dance around naked for effect. They don't need to. They have enough power to not have to invoke shadow beings for effect.
Like I share with my participants, if you want to host a cacao o**y then just call it what it is âCacao S*x Partyâ but please donât call it a ceremony.
Perhaps instead of using the word sacred, consider owning the thing that you are doing as not fully owning it may be causing a split in your subconscious â this must be holy in order for it to be ok. No it doesnât need a holy tag to make it better, you are better off just owning your s*xual desires, your cravings, your desire to be seen as outrageous and blasphemous.
Own it all without sanctifying it and you will truly be free.
In the Empress and the Dragon 3 Part inner Priestess Programme we teach you how to harness s*xual energy for inner alchemy and power.
