Say hello to Summa, one of our highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurses at The Medical Centre of Gympie!

With over 10 years of experience in general practice, Summa brings a wealth of knowledge and care to every patient she sees. She earned her Bachelor of Nursing Degree from Central Queensland University and has been part of our team for the past four years, following her time working in Noosa.

Summa has a particular passion for wound care, skin cancer management, and children’s immunisations, and she also provides expert care in areas like travel immunisations, iron infusions, and new patient check-ins.

For our existing patients, Summa is available for antenatal visits, driving medicals (both commercial and private), injections, and more. Her approachable nature and thorough care make her a trusted and valued member of our nursing team.

We’re excited to welcome Dr Peyman Zarkandi MD, B.Pharm to The Medical Centre of Gympie!

Dr Peyman began his healthcare journey as a pharmacist, gaining valuable experience in medication management and patient care before going on to complete his medical degree. Since 2021, he has worked as a medical doctor across a variety of hospital specialties, developing a particular passion for women’s health, obstetrics, and gynaecology.

Dr Peyman is known for his patient-centred approach and dedication to helping people feel comfortable and heard. He speaks both English and Persian fluently, allowing him to connect with and support a diverse patient community.
