It is that time again, World Antimicrobial Awareness Week. The team at OrthoDx is very passionate about infection. Our flagship technology, SynvIchor, will revolutionise the way the world diagnoses infection.
As viruses, fungi, bacteria and parasites become more prevalent they change and their resistance to antibiotics and other antimicrobial medicines increases, making these diseases progressively more difficult or even impossible to treat.
This is where we hope SynvIchor will assist clinicians in differentiating between infectious and non-infectious joint inflammation with unprecedented accuracy. As a result we hope to reduce misdiagnosis leading to the over-prescription of antimicrobial drugs and the increased resistance of diseases to them.
Here at OrthoDx we will continue to lead the fight against infection by providing innovative tools to accurately diagnose infection worldwide.

Our very own Dr Antony Rapisarda is currently preparing to present at this years International Society for Technology in Arthroplasty conference in Maui, Hawaii.

We will be presenting on the "Validation of a Novel Host Response Assay, SynvIchor, for Discriminating Infectious and Non-Infectious Joint Pain" in Auditorium B at 14:08 on Thursday 1st September.

Our CEO, Dr. Antony Rapisarda, has met with members of the Singaporean Government to highlight OrthoDx's ability to prevent at least 1:5 admissions for joint pain. This will save significant cost and burden on their health system by adopting our revolutionary technology, SynvIchor.

We would like to thank Australian High Commission Singapore, Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), Amelia Walsh and Janice Goh Si Hui for making this possible.
