•Gut Loving Gummies•

We have a beautiful tree full of homegrown lemons 🍋 finding ways to use them and today the juice was made into little gut healing snacks!

Gummies are made using gelatin which contains some pretty incredible compounds to promote gut healing which is foundational to a strong immune system… nails 3 birds with one stone 😂
Gelatin - comes from the protein collagen. Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body and is what helps to make all our connective tissues, cartilage, bone, gut and skin, hair and nails. Gelatin goes to work and naturally helps to boost our collagen production
Gelatin is also rich in the amino acid glycine which helps repair the gut lining by strengthening and protecting the mucous membrane layer of the gut. Key to a healthy immune system! Approx 80% of immune system cells live in the gut!
Proline, another amino acid found in significant amounts in gelatin, has been connected to improved immune function and demonstrated we can improve our health and ability to fight off infections by consuming gelatin
Gummies are so easy to make!

•Place 2 cups of juice (we cold press juice our own which is delicious) into a small saucepan
•Sprinkle 4 TBL grass fed gelatin over the top and let sit for 5 minutes to “bloom” and thicken slightly to activate the gelatin
•Gently warm on the stovetop to melt the gelatin stirring to avoid lumps. Don’t let boil!
•Take off heat and stir in raw honey to sweeten if needed and essential oils if adding (I added grapefruit EO to these gummies for detoxification benefits)
•Pour into moulds or container and pop into the fridge to set
•Once set pop out of moulds or cut into bite sizes and store in the fridge and enjoy!! They most likely won’t last the week 😂

The Mozzies are out and are full of biting beans 🦟

Poor Little Minty has them buzzing around and landing on him too!

I have recently just discovered and it’s been so helpful that I had to share!!!

That apple cider vinegar aka ACV makes a very effective repellent all on its own!
Completely non toxic and safe for all including our fury friends 🙌
Combine with some water in a spray bottle and you can mist onto your dog, their bedding and outdoor space! We spray some into our hands and give Minty a big old pat and belly rub he loves every minute ❤️ He even thinks the ACV is pretty tasty!!

Of course I added essential oils to mine that give extra repellent protection and disguises the ACV aroma 😂

Some repellent oils safe for puppies include cedar wood, lavender, citronella, lemongrass, rosemary and lemon eucalyptus.

Less is more!! Please only use high quality pure therapeutic grade essential oils and you only need a few drops to make sure it’s puppy friendly.

The colour orange 🧡 the colour of joy, warmth, sunshine, enthusiasm, creativity, success, change and determination.. and not to mention our sassy sacral chakras!
I have taken a whole bowl of sweet in season oranges.. been resourceful.. and created some orange delights!
Kept the orange peels to boil up and make medicinal herbal teas.
Juiced the fruit by hand to create into gut healing gummies of course spiked with immune boosting essential oils... and feed all the pulp to my worm pals in my worm farm!
